  • Sounds like someone says Tim or "It's him". Strange response maybe.

  • Well it sounds similar to your voice, but spirits are known to pick up on voices. I have an evp where you clearly hear me talking to my friend and you hear a voice in the background that is also my own talking at the same time. lol I also have a grudge evp, It's frightening and quite loud. I will be uploading evps tomorrow! I love your channel!!

  • @ParanormalMusings Hi thanks. Yes for sure a lot of EVPs are existing sound being manipulated. So many times EVPs are found sitting in amongst other peoples voices on recordings. My own belief is that its not intentional manipulation but i think when they communicate it does distort our existing sound which is perhaps how these EVPs form and why certain background noises help in EVP coming through. I look forward to having a listen to your EVPs too :)

  • it's your voice. the noise that sounded like the grudge is nice.

  • The first one sounds as if it says "Tim" or a quick response of can almost like kin. the second is really weird creaking noise that almost reminds me of a door or something that is not human or wasnt human would sound. i am in no way an expert on this subject but that woulda been my guess. similar to grudge.

  • it sounds like Him 1:14

  • Yes its yours......voice mate

  • Not sure on the first recording because it doesn't sound like "Tim" to me. It sounds like you might have wanted to continue with another question, because what I heard was "Do you..?"

On the second recording, it all depends. Were you holding the recorder or did you place it on the floor, & if it was on the floor was it on sturdy ground? I've heard that sound on some of my recordings, but usually it's because I moved the recorder or it was on a table that wobbled when I stepped on the ground.

  • @iammetx It was on a bedside cabinet, i prefer nor to hold the recorder as it produces unwanted noise sometimes

  • OMG Grudge is REAL...

  • Yeah, that's a very clear Tim. I can certainly say that's not you. Doesn't sound that much like you and in a different position in the room. I admit I didn't hear the second. That movie scares me enough, I don't need a possible real sound to give me nightmares for months again :)

  • hmm the tim video i dont know. it certainly sounds like a differant accent to your own. however the creaking video - a door perhaps? or your stomach grumbling? lol

  • Sounded like it could have said didn't also....

  • WOW, the TIM one was hard to tell, didnt really sound like you. but the croaking sound...that was creepy, very intresting stuff

  • To me, you sound tired and your voice is a bit scratchy... the other voice sounds different.

And OMG now I'm going to have to sleep with my lights on thinking about the Grudge! Thanks Jon!!

  • lol sorry about that :)

  • The first EVP does sound like your voice...am saying that because everyones voice naturally reaches a higher octave when questioning...even though you say you didnt say the name...the second EVP sounds like intestinal gurgling or stomch rumbling that does happen in moments of anxiety and andreline charged nervousness and anticipation...

  • That definitely does not sound like you.

  • I dont think the voice is you ..and the noise sounds like the sound on PREDATOR wen the alien is in the tree ...

  • the voice that sayd Tim sounds slightly deeper than youre voice. and the second clip does sound a bit like growling.

  • The "Tim" doesn't sound exactly like your voice but it is close...do you know anyone named Tim? I have heard EVPs that have been as clear as the "Tim" one too. The clicking noise is strange too, reminded me of "Alien".

  • Hi, no I have never known a TIm or ever picked up that name before in my research which is why this one puzzles me so much. Its a strange one lol

  • @Highspirit75

Looks like you have what PRICEParanormal would call an A++ EVP. Rare indeed.

  • many times i have had spirits create odd noises on my equipment before leaving me an evp or just responding in a pattern. could be that or could be the surface you sat your recorder on. especially if its metal. metal surface could explain the "tim" also, i recently got an evp can said "hey ...josh" just before a friend actually said "hey josh." could be that i suppose.

  • I have had experience with "mimic" phenomena, though I agree with most, the "Tim" sounds like a different voice. However, it is close enough that something as simple as a mood or environmental change could be you? I have had several experiences hearing something unexplainable mimic myself or someone in my home. the clicking noise: Poss. explanation I can think of is if there was a recorder/glass or something plastic or dense getting some movement/rocking w/ with floor vibrations? Good vid!

  • I agree with Speckie7 the voice that says Time does NOT sound like you. Very interesting. 5 Stars *****

  • Interesting...I think the "tim" does sound like you. I find the Grudge noise creepy though... I definitely agree it reminds me of the movie too.

  • The Tim is amazingly clear and nothing like your voice. There is an identifying accent as being from the UK.

  • I will try another session at some point using the same tape recorder and asking the same questions, will be interesting to see if I get the same responses

  • It sounds nothing like a purr to me....too many breaks in the sounds....a cat purr is more like a vibrating, fluctuating (in pitch) yet muffled, hum....that sounds like shallow, fluttering of ones soft palate...yet the pitch is strangely constant.

  • The cat purring idea sounds interesting. I've heard of doggie spirits haunting old castles. I wonder if there are kitty spirits attracted to your kitties?

  • Interesting theory, I know our cat wasnt in the room at the time as shes not allowed in this room but I guess yes, there is as much chance of animal spirits as human ones

  • Okay, I'm really good with voices, and I do detect a slight difference between your voice and the voice that says "Tim." It's slight, but it's there. As for that odd response you got, to my ears, it sounded like the purr of a cat.

  • the voice saying tim, could be an answer to a question from earlier, it may have taken that long for the response do the amount of energy needed. Also, along the same lines, about playing evps in reverse, remember the beatles song, the fans heard John is dead, I wonder if it was an EVP? what do you think of the ghost lab show, shot at Alcatraz? they sure got a lot of them. Seemed only one spoke. Does anyone believe that show? I am saturated by these shows, thats why i never forget its a tv show

  • I havent seen the Ghost Lab show at Alcatraz yet but I will certainly put it on my list of things to watch now

  • "Tim" doesn't sound at all like you. It sounds like an older male voice in a higher vocal register. If there was a physical source, I'd suggest a secondary voice outside or something unless you have precluded that.

The other sound seems like incidental noise to me, machine noise or room noise, etc.

  • Thanks, the one thing I can eliminate is an outside source of noise as it was totally silent and I will always point out while recording any natural noises I hear so they dont get mistaken as EVP.

    Thanks again, Jon

  • In my opinion it does not sound like you and does not have your accent, very good EVP catch and very clear. 5*****

  • Thanks spore

  • I reversed the part of the audio file that contains the EVP, and I think I hear you say "that was nice of him to call me" in reverse speech. Does that mean anything to you? The EVP reversed produced nothing.

    The ticking...I have no opinion.

    Jim

    Jim

  • Hi Jim, hmm not that I'm aware of. I have never looked to far into reverse speech but I will certainly have a look.

    Thanks, Jon

  • I have heard of cases in which the EVP sounded exactly like the living person conducting the session. If it were a sigh or a grunt you might wonder if it was you, but it's a clear word. You either said it or you did not, and if you have no memory of saying it, why doubt yourself? More relevant is the name itself. Do you know, or have you known, a TIM? Is there a connection to the property?

    Jim

  • I dont know and have never contacted a Tim in my research and Im not aware of a Tim previosley in the property but I will look into it.

At the moment after reading some opinions, I am erring on the side that it was more than likely my voice yet I certainly didnt say it. There are theories that they can mimic the sound of your own voice but that is all just theory.

    Strange stuff

  • I didn't think this particular example of "Tim" sounded like you, but it did seem that you have a similar dialect. However, I have heard the EVP voice on previous vids you have made that do sound like you.

I get that once in a while too - like on my vid intro "Kirsten takes control if she wishes it" sounds exactly like me, but it wasn't me.

I figure that IF these voices are entities, some may use our vocal tones thinking they will be heard better. Interesting research JD.

  • hi jon...thats a hard call but if you KNOW you didn't say it, then it must not be you? as far as the ticking noise, it reminds me of the movie 'Predatore' and the icky monsters... ;o)

  • The first audio clip clearly answers the name "Tim."

The second clip sounds very much like a door creaking open. It could be an object vibrating or rocking on a tabletop.

    MM

  • I do agree that the voice sounds similar, but if you listen to your voice as you are talking it has a much harsher tone to it compared to the one thats says "Tim" which seems smoother as if it wasnt as close to the mic... Either way, very interesting...

  • Thanks, yes thats what I thought as well it does sound a slightly different tone, and tied in with the randomness of the name "Tim", its very odd

  • hmmm, this is why I asked does it sound like me because I agree yes it is possible, but why would I randomly say Tim when I have never made contact with one before.

  • Sound a bit like you, the voice that says "Tim" The clicking not sure of it?
