when it's assembled and you're going to add more base, do you wet-sand it or just scuff it up good ??

That's a great question! We tape all the edges during re-assembly, and we try to be as careful as possible.  But sometimes it happens, and you touch it up or respray.

this is the price you pay for a top notch paint job. good to see people posting how and why you do what you do to do the job right. can't wait to see her and the Chevelle done guys.

Awesome, I bought those same mirrors from a guy on Ebay that restores them, bullet mirrors. Hope they look good on my 70 Chevelle!
