@mattfred - It's a drum machine! What I mean is it's only as good as the person behind it... the MPC 1000 is a lot more limited in terms of storage and sample time than it's latest additions but hey a lot of people have over come this... I think the Native Instruments Mashine has a lot more too offer mainly because it isn't just hardware but as I said only as good as the user! Patience = Practice = A good ear... Whatever you use learn it inside out!
