@Matty73 yes after watching the video again, you're right, it's clearly a Great White. I happen to know a lot about Marine Biology but I don't like sharks. So what? All of you Great White shark lovers should go out on the Great Barrier Reef and play with some (&not in protective cages). Chum the water too and see how much fun you have. If you survive, then go play with a few King Cobras too. And you can G.F.Y. too!

@lbggbff even though CarolinianJeff is in part right, sharks often bump or bite to see if "whatever" is edible and it if happens to be a swimmer, diver, surfer, oh well. Apparently Great Whites (&other sharks) don't really like human flesh as they usually bite then leave. But then the damage is done.And I'm well aware, shark attacks are rare.They serve shark in Calif. and it's delicious.

@WildCardAcres, I have no reason to lie about being a certified diver and I don't care whether you believe me or not. Of course we'll never kill all sharks, and they're necessary for the ecosystem. But I still am not a fan of the big feeding machines. The odds of being attacked are so low but they still are scary and I can't imagine having one chomp down on me. @lbggbff It's 25 miles offshore. The white sharks stay out there eating tuna. Unlike the west coast or South Africa, we don't have any seals... which means there's no reason to come inshore. All there is to eat near the beach is bony-ass surfers, and they're not worth the calories the shark would have to expend just to kill and digest them. You have nothing to fear.
