yeah, same here. i want me the new iPhone 3GS, but i just hate that AT&T forces all iPhone owners to pay $30 a month for unlimited data. So i will have to pay $40 for voice, $30 for data and $20 for unlimited messaging. comes to $90 a month before taxes. expecting to pay upwards of $100 a month for phone service, is it worth it?

Verizon forces a data package on smartphone users. Apple are smartphone. Data access on iPhone can exceed 5GB (yes, GB) a month (if used constantly or for tethering). PPU rate = over $50,000@$.01/kb (yes, the KB rate)... $30 a bargain, especiall with rollover minutes/at&t a-list (free) involded.

In other words, yes, it is worth it. Also, at&t customer service has improved impeccibly over the course of 2 years. Even if you do manage to go over (rollover) they usually allow you to re-rate your bill if you change your plan. So um, compared to Verizon/Sprint forcing a contract extension on you with non or little adjustment? Yes, it's worth it.

As if AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile have coverage EVERYWHERE? It's not possible due to limitations of the technology...

How bout this for an idea... if you live in Port Henry maybe you shouldn't have VZW service... try going with a carrier that DOES have coverage there...

Also... you guys were walking in front of a Verizon Communications sign... not a Verizon Wireless sign...
