  • Low life trash in the streets. If they were so smart and better than anyone else why dont they start their own business? Why suck off the ideas of others then demand top end pay for a shitty job they are doing running verizon into the ground. Unions are nothing but bitter drunks, dopeheads and lazy people demanding they do no work for high wages.

  • You can thank obumercare and all his regulations for the layoffs, but you're all too dense to think of that. Unions have outlived their usefulness. Your motto should be, hoorah for me and the hell with the rest of you.

  • @robprice22 ....repeating nonsensical rhetoric from the fox pundits doesn't make you bright!

  • I pay medical, dental, vision, long/short term disability, life etc. That's what I pay. I am not a unionized VZ employee so yes, I pay for my benefits.

Way to reply like an intelligent human being, moron.

  • REAL American heroes.

  • @robprice22

    you're vermin

  • They aren't reducing your benefits they want you to pay for them like the rest of us who aren't unionized.

  • @Cubbyd2001

    "they"?

Which benefits do you pay for exactly?

And who the fuck do you think got you things like, oh, the weekend, vacation pay, paid sick and holiday leave, decent working conditions, reasonable working hours (still shit compared with the rest of the western world) etc.?

    The UNIONS.

  • union thugs! giving you a raise means my rates will go up, ever think of that you bunch of losers?

  • @jtsct

    fuck off, scum.

  • You people are lucky that you even have a job

  • @callen122711

That's what they want you to think. Well done, you've played into the hands of every filthy corporate fuck in the US.

Can you start crawling about on your hands and knees begging for mercy? Because right now you're just on your knees and you're not low enough. Perhaps you could lie down and let some billionaire fuck walk all over you, wipe shit off their shoes in your hair. Creatures like you are handing over the country with your apathy.

  • If you don't like what you're being paid by your employer then you have two options:

    1: Find another job or

2: Start your own company What's so hard about that concept?

  • @TheCrazyCougar

They shouldn't need to give in to these corporate fucks every time the corporate fucks decide they're going to cut something or other. Things like you play into the notion that we should just accept less money and fewer benefits.

    No.

    These people make a difference.

    You just make a noise.

  • These commie unions are a huge part of what's destroying this country. All you can do is yell gimme, gimme, gimme. And then what do you give the country, OBEYME, the little king wanna-be who is finishing the job of destroying this country. Go ahead, pay your union HEADS a billion more in dues and see how many more of your jobs end up in China. And you call those of us who want "right to work" stupid?

  • Non union people are stupid they get half the benefits union people get. My dad is union and I support what there trying to do the idiots in new York city don't care about the families affected by this and never will.

    REMAIN UNION

IBEW 2325, 2222 out of Worcester and Boston MA respectively

  • With the union on strike, the bosses of each union garage is doing the workers job, I'll give u a real example of this. About two days ago in wrentham ma, a telephone pole fell down, the stupid bosses working to fix it told the people on the street that they won't get service till the 16th that's ridiculous, simply because if the union wasn't on strike it would get fixed in about a day not two weeks.

  • Verizon is welcome to move to a state unfriendly to unions -- we'd appreciate the jobs!

  • @mbevks - Yep.. we'd welcome them in Oklahoma (Right to Work) But the Obeyme administration will file a lawsuit if they try.. Remember Boeing?

  • It's ok to fight for a new contract and go on strike, but the sabotage is just evil and hurts innocent customers just to get back at the company. I don't buy the union saying it's management doing the damage or that they are making it up. Too many incidents.

  • @bluexterra " I don't buy the union saying it's management doing the damage or that they are making it up. Too many incidents." There are 12 claims of damages. 6 of which in the same exact area. One of which was shown on TV as a FiOs hub with the jumpers broken. Did some dickhead probably go into the hub against the will of the rest of us?? Most likely. Does he deserve a prison sentence if caught?? Absolutely. Most, though, are verizon blaming union for things they've neglected.

  • What is so wrong with paying the workers a living wage?....we've conceded so much in past decades to keep companies running and now their profits are in the 'Billions' and they still want to to cut benefits, work you 16 hrs+ straight and not to mention a shitty pension.....Unions may not be right all of the time, but at least they look out for your collective interest and safety!....and fuck all you union haters!

  • Umm what are they demanding? I coudn't really make it out in the video.

  • @neobattle2 Verizon listed over 100 demands in changes regarding pension, benefits, and work rules and has offered no concessions in return. Basically the new CEO, Lowell McAdams, is trying to be the next Reagan or Scott Walker.

  • fuck them all the union= verison hope they go under

  • If your Union wants you to go on strike now - its time to impeach your Union leadership. For Gods sake Verizon is going to replace every one of these retards with out of work electrical engineers.

  • @ReformBarackObama Genius.. Because we all know that the electrical engineers that design the theoretical blueprints behind the telecom network are 100% suited to physically build and maintain it.. I would love it if Verizon tried that.

  • @JakDerrida - I take it that you are a union worker who thinks Verizon can't replace you?

You ignorantly use the word "theoretical" and think that engineers don't actually build physical prototypes, and continually update and improve the physical components used by Verizon Union workers.

Admit it, you don't "build" anything, you assemble. So yes, I think an engineer who is capable of building a Verizon component, is much more qualified to install or assemble it, than any union worker.

  • @ReformBarackObama That's right.. We just "assemble".. It could easily be done on an assembly line in another country. I wish Lowell McAdam was half as stupid as you. Maybe then he'd try your horrible idea and come crawling back to the bargaining table.. Unfortunately, he is well aware that addressing the underlying problems in an enormous network from the field is difficult and so he won't be so reckless as you.

  • @JakDerrida Everything that can be assembled in another country is already in another country! You assemble components in the field. The land line division is loosing money and you go on STRIKE?

    IMPEACH YOUR UNION LEADERSHIP!

Don't lay vanishing American jobs on me, UNIONS have had just as much influence on corporate America's desertion of the American as anything else. Last Year your union bribed politicians with 30 million, 95% to the Dems. Your Union funds Pelosi and Reid!!

  • @ReformBarackObama

"UNIONS have had just as much influence on corporate America's desertion of the American as anything else."

2 most unionized states are New York and Hawaii. Unemployment are 8% and 6%. 2 least unionized states are North Carolina and Georgia. Both are 9.9%. That's what's wrong with you market fundamentalists. You seriously never look at facts. You just talk out your ass and repeat what Rush Limbaugh says.

  • @ReformBarackObama "The land line division is loosing money and you go on STRIKE?" The land line division probably consists of about 15% of what we do anymore. They've stopped maintaining the land line network years ago. The vast majority of what we do is FiOs or DSL installs and maintenance orders. Does that mean we should be getting more from the company?? No. All we're demanding is the company demand less concessions in the current contract negotiations.

  • @ReformBarackObama "You assemble components in the field." That's right. Nothing we do involves creative problem solving. All houses are exactly the same and outside plant always revolves around the circumstances the engineers designed the parts and equipment for. Even the engineers would admit you're a complete jackass. I cannot think of someone less suited to be a liaison between workers and engineers.

  • @ReformBarackObama By the way, there's nothing ignorant about "theoretical" work. That's just what an engineer does and is another essential part of the network. But creative problem solving from the field when theory doesn't work in the real world is a job best left to the most experienced. If it were easy, then trolls like you would be doing it.

  • @JakDerrida Union Boy - I worked on projects like the Space Shuttle and the GPS SYSTEM!!!

What you misunderstand is if you make a prototype and/or if you improve the physical components there is nothing theoretical about it.

As a union worker YOU don't ever make changes to the system EVER! YOU simply follow protocol as directed by engineers.

You take too much credit for creating and maintaining the equipment you work with. You don't have a budget to create anything new!

  • @ReformBarackObama Judging by your claim of being engineer and the vulgarity of your posts, I guess I've given engineers way too much credit. However, I'm sure that isn't representative of all engineers. Calling people "Union Boy" and being so spiteful of workers is probably isolated to incompetent engineers that spend too much time demanding praise from others on Youtube.

By the way, if engineers design the protocols I follow, that's theoretical work by definition.

  • @JakDerrida

Do you understand what the word "theoretical" means? - Please go ahead and define it for me.

Keeping in mind that every component YOU work with, has already had multiple prototypes and field testing completed by engineers, not union workers.

R&D hands you real, field tested components, with the protocol worked out. nothing "theoretical".

You install and maintain, only your arrogance has you convinced that you can't be replaced.

NO successful corporation has a unionized R&D.

  • @ReformBarackObama Theoretical means it's based on the theory of a subject rather the practical application. For you to suggest that what engineers do is no more theoretical than what I do is much more of an insult to engineers than myself. To say that they should be doing my work instead of R&D is like saying that Henry Ford should have spent all his time working on the assembly line rather than working on the theoretical framework to improve it.

By the way, I doubt you're an engineer.

  • @JakDerrida Also, I did not claim to be an engineer - I was a liaison between engineers & liaison workers. I came up as a CNC machinist - force unionized and held back by the UAW.

I have dealt with hundreds of arrogant guys like you, with an inflated sense of self-importance.

My point is that you should impeach your Union leaders because they have put you in a strike at a time when Verizon could easily replace all of you with engineers that can do your job better than you.

  • @ReformBarackObama "I have dealt with hundreds of arrogant guys like you, with an inflated sense of self-importance."

Despite your crude stereotypes of union workers as uneducated, most of us technicians at verizon do have our degrees and many others came out of the military. Verizon is well aware of the costs and commitment involved with hiring people into the union and have developed a selective screening process. And, yes, we do have many people with engineering degrees.

  • @JakDerrida Don't try lies with me. Trust me I'm older AND smarter than you.

Verizon land line? What screening? There hasn't been any hiring!

The company has been slowly moving the qualified people out of the land line division for years. Those left are surplus employees - that's why the company has NO incentive to give in.

Is there incentive the fact that union workers are sabotaging the network?

Impeach your Union leaders, this all about there own cush jobs in wireless, NOT yours.

  • @ReformBarackObama "What screening?"

Are you kidding me?? It's obvious you know nobody that works for the company. I know of nobody with less than 15 years in the company that doesn't have at least 2 years college or 4 years in the military. They also do a thorough criminal background check and a series of tests in their regional headquarters. When I took the tests 7 years ago, 31 people showed up. In the end, only 4 were given applications to fill out. You're just an idiot.

  • @JakDerrida They don't screen because they don't hire anyone anymore! Your reading comprehension is horrible! First you assume I was an engineer now this?

The concessions and the hard line by Verizon proves you're no longer viable. The fact that you've not been asked to transfer, means you're surplus - a good long strike will thin your ranks, and your resolve. Your Union leaders know this, they're selling you out for early retirement packages, or jobs in wireless. The Union fucked you all!

  • @ReformBarackObama

"Is there incentive the fact that union workers are sabotaging the network?"

No, there isn't. Which is why anyone caught doing it should go to prison. Out of the 12 claims of sabotage the company made, I've only read one that seems plausible. (definite, by my judgement) I say this because I've actually done the job and therefore my judgement is relevant. You've never done the job and persist on talking out your ass.

  • all of these people could be replaced, trained and up and running in a few short weeks.

  • I had a union job once, it was kind of bad because I had to pay union dues over $100 a month. Plus i was part time, so I was only making about minimum wage or less it seemed.

  • I'll gladly take your job if your bitching about a raise union shits.

  • As an IATSE Local 16 member.... i must say: "Ugh. Union Busting... How tacky."

  • more corporate greed on the backs of workers. Soon, if not already, We will be the United States of Corporate America. Help us all...

  • I stand in solidarity to my brothers and sisters striking against a reduction in benefits from a company that is very healthy financially.

  • @DennisfromDC The workers involved in the strike are primarily field workers for Verizon’s wireline business, which has been declining for a decade as more customers disconnect their landlines in favor of cell phones and other wireless devices.

  • @DennisfromDC

I just cancelled my open ended contract with Verizon, I choose not to deal with a company who is being blackmailed by union thugs. You want to stand in solidarity then stand in the unemployment line with these morons.....There's plenty of folks out there looking for employment that are more than willing to take over their jobs. As for the union organizer, he's likely making $80K + and will move on to another strike once these idiots are fired.........as they should be.

  • @TheCrazyCougar The fact that you call people who want to stand together for better compensation, thugs, shows how disconnected you are from society and the reality of what the union debate is.

Why dont you look up and research why they were created. There is nothing wrong with workers getting together and demanding better compensation from the bosses. If Verizon wants to terminate them all then fine, let them lose way more money filling in vacancies.

Tea baggers, get a job, like us union folk

  • FAT COMMUNISTS!

  • I take it this is a bad time to enter the job market?

  • @alterbyme It is trust me,, am out of work

  • overpopulation globe result, nobody can stop it, the gay propaganda less

  • Verizon has some shitty service anyway!

  • greece fever

  • Just what we need more people out of work :-(

  • he said white power O.o

  • @Jeffzpimp yay dude! white power fo shizzlez!§

  • US = full of commies.

  • Import sweat labours from Mexico and S America.

  • heyyy i walked by that

  • No, but thank you. I'm a retired manager that used to have to deal with unions on a regular basis.

These people are over paid, unskilled workers. Many are very good employees but many are worthless drones that sour the work environment and they are near impossible to fire.

  • I walked by their DC office HQ on my way home and they run their lobby like it is some third world country with all kinds of shmucks selling socks and watches.

As a paying customer if I lived in D.C. I would not want to walk into a ugly situation like that.

  • who gives a fuck. goddamn commie cunts.

  • I can't understand what their saying ,,someone inform me , what at they protesting??

  • @basslightning1 They want benefits and better pay basically.

  • @basslightning1 Their contract ended with Verizon a few days ago and the new one that Verizon is offering doesn't have certain benefits that they want.

  • Unions are disgusting.

  • @imbubba56 you must be rich....
