tulsa isnt that tha state of oakies little brother of sports lol and you a qb whos afraid of real competition but short notes 4 takin because would of never get denard robinson who iz like pat white percy harvin into one person
too bad michigan is puting tate forcier the little bitch in as qb. that kids gunna break in half by game 2. he is a six foot tall at tops 180 pounder at tops. his arms are as thick as toothpicks and terrelle pryor would rip him in half with his toes. fuckin good luck u pansie pussy bitches
listen you fuckin yuper...you obviously dont know shit about football considering quarterbacks are taught and instructed to run out of bounds. well..maybe not michigan players cuz they never really have a "qb"...just a bunch of randon dudes trying to throw a ball. not to mention how the fuck can you claim an incoming freshman who hasnt seen one minute in the ncaa is a better passer than anyone?? your a fucking moron and i guarantee you are single and havent touched a pussy in over 3 years
First of all, it's spelled "yooper". If you're going to throw out an insult, at least learn how to spell it. I never said that Forcier is a better passer than anyone. I siad he's a better passer than Pryor. Try taking a class in reading comprehension. I've been married for a long time, probably since before the best part of you ran down your mama's leg. She should've done the world a favor and had an abortion. Oh yeah, she did when she had you.
haha jesus. i take it as a compliment that i dont know how to spell yooper. fucking joke. "anyone" as in anyone who plays college football, whom you referred to as Pryor...
im not going to comment on the second part of your shit because i feel bad that a married man who should have more important shit to do, is on youtube talking shit to college kids. love it. mom and dad must be real proud of their fatass son. great job
Brewhaman, Gallon was tearing it up at the Army practices. I really think he will shock some fans and see significant playing time his freshmen year. He fits the Michigan system perfectly. I heard beafore the NLOI day, Michigan might get a few more studs.
Gallon has an excellent chance of starting at slot receiver enxt season, evne as a true freshman. i don't like Gallon cause he's so damn tiny (5'8, 165) but then again, he's got to be a billion times better then Shitavious Odoms. i'm personally hoping Justin Feagin starts at slot receiver, but again, I'll take anybody over odoms. Lets hope Gallon, Feagin, or somebody steps up next season and actually becomes a playmaker as the starting slot receiver
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I addressed goblue9206 in a private message about Shitavious odoms, and as far as "doing what he could with a young trasnition team," I could say the same thing about Nick Sheridan. That doesn't mean Sheridan is good. Sheridan sucks, and you know it. Same thnig with Odoms
I actually mite go with Poole1Dan. I get the transition thing and since they were losing all the time, he probably wasn't trying his ahardest. But I can't tell you how many times I heard th PA guy say "Pass incomplete intended for Martavious Odoms" I really don't know if I want him playing slot next year. Personally I hope Denard Robinson or Justin Feagin gets the starting job at slot
Poole1Dan, I too am excited about next year's Defensive Line. Brandon Graham + Mike Martin + Will Campbell + Ryan Van Bergen = Promising. But Mike Martin is still only a Sophomore and Big Will will be just coming out of high School. Do you really think that as such youngsters they'll be able to get the job done and get the job done well? I'm not a nay-sayer I'm just as excited as anyone about Bring Big Will back to UM but after this past season I can't help but be skeptical.
Thats why i said "if" 4 different times. LOL. Whether we'll get good coachnig from Tall and the new d-coordinator is a HUGE if, And furthermore, its like you pointed out, our d-line is young. Graham is a senior, and he will hold the line together, but Martin is a true sophomore, Campbell is a redshirt sophomore, and Campbell is a true freshman. So yeah, experience on the d-line could be an issue. i say "could" because Van Bergen and Martin were regularly used subs, so they have some experience
So technically speaking, Campbell si the only "inexperienced" starter on our 2009 d-line, but then again, wouldn't you take him over renaldo Sagessee, who's a junior but who's only a 3 star prospect? (from fucking Canada I might add). I think IF IF IF we get good coaching, then the 2009 d-line will play well, even though all the starters save Graham are underclssmen (albeit not necesarily inexperienced). Im just so glad we got a 6'5, 305 pound 5 star defensive tackle
True True. Good Coaching is the deciding Factor. The way I see it, there's nowhere to go but up for Michigan's Defense. And as far as renaldo Sagesse being a 3 star prospect, I'll have you know that Mike Hart was a 3 star as was Carson Butler.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Braylon Edwards and Obi Ezeh were 3 stars as well. Brandent Englemon was a 2 star. Yeah, some 3 stars and even 2 stars become really good football players. Many others, however, don't pan out. And besides, you know Campbell is better then Sagessee, even as a true freshman. With Sagessee, we were getting the enxt Larry Harrison, who started on the d-line as a redshirt sophomore in 2004 and was just okay. With Campbell, we are getting the next Alan Branch.
Great pickup. I think he fooled alot of experts, he seems like a very likable kid. I heard the Wolverines are looking good with Je'Ron Stokes, that would take the place of McNeal. I am glad Campbell decided to stay in the Big Ten, by the looks of the bowl games we need every good player we can get.
Our d-line is gonig to be good next season IF IF IF we have good coaching from fucknig Bruce Tall and whoever the enw d-coordinator is. Obviously we got Graham back at DE for his senior season and his 3rd season as a starter, but then we've got Campbell and Martin at DT (those guys trump Taylor and Johnson, IMO) and Van Bergen is Rondell Bigggs 2.0 (ashould be an upgrade voer Jamison, who had a very dissapointing senior year). Again, IF we get good coachnig, our 2009 d-line will be good Go Blue!
Yeah, you're right. The recruiting game is changing all the time and when the kids are as young as they are, their minds can change by the day. OSU needs Michigan to be good again too, for their own program's esteem when they beat them for the 6th, 7th, 8th straight time.
Commits are like a guessing game. How is someone a decommit if they never commited to a school, if someone doesn't sign a letter of intent then they are not a commit. You hear Will Campbell is going hear and going there. I hear LSU, but I think Miami. I could be wrong and he chooses Michigan it is really a guessing game.
Honestly the decommits other than Campbell; really are not that big of a deal. The Wolverines have plenty of wide receivers and have a great QB coming in. The Campbell decommit has more to it than I care to talk about however, I can assure you it has nothing to do with the things you listed. From what I am hearing it is Miami, but you never know Campbell may shock some people and become a Wolverine. Some of the recruiting sites just use news to sell memberships.
I don't blame any of my fellow Michigan fans for bitching about Beaver decommiting. But lets face reality here: Beaver decommited because he doesn't want to play for a loser with a shitty future. Dickrod is fucking us over people, and he must be fired before he ruins our porgram. The longer we keep dickrod, the more top recruits we lose, and the shallower our talent pool becomes. Losing is a vicious cycle.
goblue918, I have some bad news, Will Campbell has changed his mind; due to somenthing that recently happend in Ann Arbor. He will not become a Wolverine up until two days ago. A week ago he was absolutly on board however, somenthing truly persuaded him not to go. Sorry for leading you on, I was truly sure up until a few days ago.
I've read that some prospects use this Army Game as a "big splash" or surprise when they choose the school. I'm not counting him out 100%, though I think chances may be slim, guess we'll know come Saturday!
Bryce McNeal, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Breck wide receiver with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, plans to decide Saturday among the Gophers, Clemson, Oregon and Colorado for college. McNeal, who decommitted from Michigan, said Monday he has no favorite, not even Minnesota.
NEWS FLASH! Yet another blue-chip recruit DE-COMMITS! The Maize&Blue are quickly becoming famous for top recruits DE-COMMITING. Now that's a problem Mr. Rodriguez! They're supposed to COMMIT not DE-COMMIT!OOPS!
Dude, get a fucking life! Like I said, your only reason for visiting this video is to talk shit! Have you realized that it is OSWho fans like yourself that give that entire univershitty a bad name? Yes, fans like you!
Who gives a fuck about de-commits? Rogue Overrated State fans and every other sour program that hates Michigan are the only ones that post delusional shit like your Comi-ass does. You're a North Korean; shouldn't communism be your focal point? Get a life LOSER!
WOW! Now that comment is truly blood pressure raising performance!Don't have a heart attack though...you're good fun!I seem to have hit a nerve. I can't remember my last comment, so I'll have to do some reviewing...Ah yes.Sorry. I just love De-Commits from Ann Arbor. What can I say? It's nearly as good as an OSU victory! How does this sound: The Michigan De-Commits!!!At QB, Shavodrick Beaver, Kevin Newsome, the list is endless!Athlete/WR: Bryce McNeal! At DE, William Campbell! The crowd goes nuts!
From seeing your posts, you must be a Buckeyes fan. How does it feel to lose every big non-conference game by embarrassing margins since you "won"(quotes cause that game was a sham) the title?
Say what you want about the streak, but at least we could beat Florida.
Hope you enjoy watching another embarrassment when Colt McCoy tears the vest the second new asshole after Hollywood Pete was done with him.
I don't have a problem with him going to the school of his choice, but announcing it two weeks before he was set to enroll was bootleg. He stuck with it through a terrible season, did the interviews and then pulls Tulsa at the last minute. At least he didn't wait until he was already at UM, then decide he wanted to go somewhere else.
Tulsa is a good place for him, he just isnt big enough for BCS football, 179 just dont cut it at QB, he had a hard time staying healthy in high school, so best to him..
That's the news I am hearing. Like you said Campbell just wanted to go on a few recruiting trips. Campbell has friends on the team and friends that are the same year recruits. I would say about 95% sure he is going to be or is already a Wolverine. Anything can happen however, I am confident.Big Will is a monster!
What's 10-2 stand for? Because I know that's not going to be Michigan's W/L record this year or next year.
And how is he throwing his life away by not playing at Michigan? Tough shit, he liked Tulsa better. Don't cry because Tulsa out-recruited Michigan for Beaver.
Sorry about the recent decommits. I think Forcier was ahead of Beaver at this stage of the game, Beaver just flat out didn't want to compete. In regards to recruiting, Big Will Campbell will be a Wolverine, I have heard from more than one source that he is already made up his mind.
You serious?????!!!!! I was really hopin he would come back to us, I mean I heard that he only reopened his recruiting just to experience the recruting process, but I wasn't sure if he was actually thinkin about comin back! And the recent decommits don't hurt us, except Cambell and this one, but we have a great shot at Cambell, and Forcier is an incredible quarterback, and we'll still sign another quarteback, hopefully Denard Robinson!
Hahaha that's so funny that you said that, cause Michigan is one of six schools to produce A US President (Gerald Ford) and a Super Bowl winning quarterback (Tom Brady) unlike your pussy lions and oswho!
Height don't matter in college, Doug Flutie was 5-10 and he won a heisman! Forcier is an overall better playuer than Beaver, I'm sure Beaver would be a great quarterback at Michigan, but I do think Forcier has an edge in passing wise, he's just as fast as Beaver, if not faster, and he can scramble as good as Beaver, but Beaver is a better runner in the open field. Either way, we still have a great quarterback in Forcier, it don't matter what other quarterback we sign, Forcier will have an edge!
well i guess its better to be 2nd string QB at tulsa then be 4th or 5th string QB at UM cause I believe this guy knows he cant compete at a school like UM so best of luck to ya Beaver what a joke lol
I agree, I think Eugene Smith has been on RR's radar since he took the UM job. This may be the reason for Beaver's de-commit. Either that, OR he doesn't pack the gear to compete w/Forcier. I mean, C'mon, Tulsa???? No way, academicaly does Tulsa compare w/the education he'd get at UM, it doesn't make sense. I read an article that said his decision was based on the fact that Tulsa had a "family and friends" atmosphere, NOT about a "logo"....whatever! I think he didn't want to compete for playtime.
Ya and he also said somethin about how he'll get to compete for the qb job right away. HE WOULD GET TO COMPETE FOR THE JOB AT MICHIGAN TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TULSA won't ever compete for a national championship, Michigan will, and the education that you get at Michigan is a rare opprtunity, especially with the economy these days! Everything Beaver said in that article, it's just hard to buy. Money had to be involved, no way TULSA can steal a recruit from us, the University of Michigan!
Is your comment part of a comedy sketch? AN education at Michigan? He's majoring in football, so welcome to reality. I read the Freep saying Beaver "wasn't quite as far along" as Forcier. That's trying to make a tragic situation less tragic. Thanks Freep. This is a HUGE loss. He looks way faster than Forcier. I wonder if the 3-9 season helped make his decision? Hmmmm...we may never know. Keep telling yourself money was invovled. He wants to play, and he'd probably sit behind Forcier. Simple.
There is NO comedy sketch here, it's a fact that an education from Michigan will take you further than any education from Tulsa. "Majoring in Football", I expect a comment like that coming from and OSU fan. If that's the fact "he wasn't as far along as Forcier" than my hypothesis stands correct, he didn't want to compete for playing time! But really, what's it too you that he decommitted from Michigan, shouldn't you be more concerned about O$U's recruiting? Or are you just here to break balls?
Break balls? Hmm, you make it sound like leaving a comment here is equal to a criminal offense. Do you have anything in terms of REAL evidence of OSU's illegal recruiting or are you just full of sour grapes? 5 in a row has gotta hurt. (I noticed the very sly "$" in your OSU. Hmmm...what could that mean?) Maybe the Fab 5 of Michigan basketball hey-day know something about that. I like to talk Big Ten football. The Rich Rod drama and tragic turn of events at Michigan is such a sad story...
LOL, no, it isn't a criminal offense to post your opinion, if you're an american, it's your right! But knowing that you're an O"$"U fan, it only makes sense that you're hear to talk shit about a prospect de-committing from Michigan. I have no evidence of Overrated States "illegal recruiting" and never said anything of the like, not sure where you're going w/that one. If you love "B10 Football Talk", funny how you leave all the juicy drama going on in C-bus out of your "sad story". "Hmmmmmmmm"!
Juicy drama in C-bus? Fill me in on that one, I'm unaware. But Ann Arbor's sports scene truly is a Sad Story. Although no such tragedy has afflicted Buckeye Nation. Last time I checked they: Rode their true Freshman QB to a 10-2 Big Ten Championship and a trip to Glendale, Arizona to meet the #3 team in the country. Sunny skies indeed! Old Lloyd should never have resigned. All he had to do was beat Ohio State. Just once!ONCE!!!!
There's ALWAYS drama in C-bus, ever since McSweatervest arrived. He's just so good at sweeping things under the rug that only a few things, like OSWho players getting caught stealing at department stores, actually make the headlines. There are several "other" juicy stories, the "dirty 30", Tress's YSU days, Troy Smith, Clarett..sigh...the list goes on and on. Whoopee if you're going to the Fiesta Bowl, we all know how Overrated State fairs in BCS games, don't see why that would change!
And what the fucks so sad about "ann arbors sport scene"? The basketball team is finally showing they can hang, the hockey and baseball teams are always producing, so your your statement is complete Korean Bullshit!
The football team had a horrible year, but given the circumstances, anyone who thought otherwise was just hoping! And O$U "rode their true freshman"? Again, BS! You went with that big dopey kid, Jokeman, then resorted to putting Dumbo (pryor) and his ballon ball on the field!
So I'm going to have to ignore 90% of your message AGAIN due to its inane nature--forgive me--but let's go back a few years: Why did Lloyd quit? Was he really being "forced out"--ala Tuberville&Fatty Fulmer?I mean, 6-7 overall vs. OSU is bad, but it's not THAT bad. It's OSU we're talking about here! Given the utter DEVASTATION to the program that we've now witnessed with RR, do you think the Prez&AD would take Carr back? Don't you think that's the direction they should be moving in?Come back LC!
Ignoring "90%" of my message only solidifies my position....you're only here to talk shit about Michigan's poor season and the de-commitment...PERIOD!
Come back when you have a valid point, better yet, don't come back, I'm tired of owning you on these message boards.
If he has an attitide that thinking that he would sit behind Forcier, then he shouldn't come to us, a quarterback with confidence like Forcier, is a hell of a lot better than a quarerback with no confidence, example, Threet and Sheridan! And you must be an OSU fan cause you obviously don't know how many guys come to Michigan cause of the education they offer. So NO, that comment wasn't a comedy sketch you piece of dumb fuck!
Hey, "family and friends" may actually mean "family and friends." Is that such a hard thing to comprehend? A lot of guys like to play close to home. I'm sure he saw the tragic McGuffie situation and thought twice about A) going so far away from home and B) going 4-8 with limited if any playing time. Forcier looks good, but does it matter if the rest of the team looks like Purdue?
No shit family and friends means family and friends! McGuffie is a way differtent situation, his family had SERIOUS issues, and was pretty much forced to go back home! And that's an understandable situation. BTW good luck McGuffie, that's comin from the heart, I hope you get things straightened out with the family. Back to Beaver, the fact that the qb is where we needed the most help, he'd get plenty of playing time! And there is always the most improvement between year 1 and year 2!
McGuffie. Can anyone think of a better definition for "BUST"? It's perfect, really. You no longer need to use the word "bust", just say "McGuffie" instead. For example, "What happened to that WR from Florida? Oh he was a McGuffie. He got 4 concussions his freshman year and forgot his name and had to go back to his childhood home to recover for the rest of his life." Who's the next McGuffie to break the dreams of the RichRodders? It's gonna beat 3 more years until you guys can put up 8 wins.
And I'm sure if McGuffie went to Chokeeye Nation, Teflon Tress would of had Sam a job at a car dealership and had his kid-brother hooked up with an off-campus apartment for the 2 to share! Please, give it a break you Comi-bastard!
Very true! And to lie to a program like Michigan like he did is really wrong, you don't tell us that you're excited and ready to enroll at Michigan, and then some coaches from another team come to your home and you change your mind. That's just plain ridiculos! Oh well, like I said, it's his loss, not ours! THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's very easy to gain weight, he's 6-3, so no he's not to small to play qb in college, but, Forcier is ranked as the most accurate quaterback in this class, and he's just as fast as Beaver, so he's the one that has the most potential as of right now, and height don't matter, Doug Flutie was 5-10, he won a heisman, so if anybody tries to tell you that Forcier is too short for quarterback, they can kiss my ass!
It's hard to believe this that TULSA of all schools could take away a Michigan recruit. The coaches who visited Beaver's home yesterday had to have offered him money, there's is no way that this could possibly happen without money involved.
Players decommit all the time. You kids should really not look at rivals, scout ect and trust in what they say because about commits. Until signing day i don't have faith in any commit
Fuckin either fully commit, or don't fuckin commit at all! And if you do fully commit, don't take visits anywehere else, especially behind the team you say you're going to enroll in. It's so ridiculos these days how people can just think how they decommit and that only hurts the team they decommit from. Well, it doesn't, it hurts other teams too, and it can even hurt yourself at times! Oh well, it's his loss, not ours.
Why would you want someone who jumps ship. I am a Buckeye fan, but this decommting stuff is getting horrible, not just for Michigan but for every college. It's getting to the point where you can't trust a verbal. Forcier is the best qb of the bunch. I think Ohio State signs Boyd, that will allow Michigan to sign D. Gardner for 2010, he is a beast. There is enough talent in place and still coming in at Michigan, let the people walk, what kind of teammate would they had made anyway?
Michigan always produces better pro prospects no matter what sport! Tom Brady, football, Derek Jeter, baseball, Micael Phelps, gretest olympic athlete of all-time, we are just plain a better school academic and sports wise than ohio state!
hey bitch, your boy Beaver is gone. what did I tell you son? Dickrod is TEARING APART our belvoed football team!!! HE MUST BE FIRED!!!! Allow me to borror a line from Colin Cowherd:
"how much more evidence do you need, we are falling apart as a football program."
I'm more pissed off at the fact that Mcneal, Beaver, and Newsome all said that they were committed and whatnot and they all "forgot" about that and such...
RR might be a factor in this, but goddang, ur making it sound like he's the real reason behind terrorism, the crappy economy, and the collapsing of the Big 3.
These recruits are 17-19, their mind can switch a lot.
you must be the most impatient kid ever. One season and you're ready to quit
uh, just FWI dude, my venom in my last post was directed at goblue918, not you. i don't have a problem with you. Calm down here and try to talk to me again.
Your comment sounded like it addressed all RR supporters me included. I've calmed down, what I mean what I say but to a lesser degree.
Bottomline- we all want what's best for Michigan; Domination over MSU and ND, and a fierce competitive exciting rivalry with OSU with no one knowing the outcome until the final tickhas passed. We have different point of views on how it should be done. And let's just hope for the best. And u should be patient until RR is a proven fail.
"Your comment sounded like it addressed all RR supporters me included. I've calmed down, what I mean what I say but to a lesser degree."
I was actually adressing the neo-dickrod supporters like goblue918 who want to give dickrod till like 2012 to get hi shit together. You strike me as a guy who is willing to give dickrod two seasons before considering firing him. I do not hold contempt towards fans like you.
you might be a richrod supporter in the sense that you don't want him fired right now like I do, but most Michigan fans are like you. My venom is directed at the mgoblog cultitists who are totally in the tank for dickrod and support every mvoe the man makes. Sometimes you confuse them for West Virginia fans given the way they defend dickrod. Its one thing to say 'one season and you ready to quit." I don't get angry at that. i DO get angry at the people who want to give him half a decade
BUT JUST GIVE THE MOTHER FER ONE MORE SEASON TO PROVE HIMSELF
God will only now how you live ur life. U have to learn to calm the bloody f**k down and wait for the rewards of knowledge to seek in that impatient brain of yours.
I think Andy Reid said it best when he said,"You have to take a step back to move yourself forward" or something like that.
Ya, I'm probably goin to give up on Michigan, burn everything I own of Michigan, my family members are dyin left and right, my dog just died, I'm slippin in school, haven't had a girl in forever, I'm not goin to be a fan of not just Michigan, but all of sports anymore, so, probably after Christmas or sometime, I'll just go ahead and kill myself.
LOL. The real world is not falling apart, even with obama getting elected. the real world will be fine. But the world of Michigan football? Now thats a world that going to hell in a hurry. Hence why dickrod must be fired.
Oh, and if Forcier decommits, I think i might start taking your " go ahead and kill myself" line seriously. What did seperah warn you: don't put all your eggs in one basket like you've done with our two incomnig QB's
Well, I hope everybody we have decommits except the mother fuckin kicker! The kicker is the best chance we'll have to win, and as God as my witness, if we don't win the national championship within 5 years, I may not kill myself, but someone else may start payin the price!
Well guess what, if I have to kill even someone I supported all this time, god damnit I will! Besides Denard Robinson runs supposedly, that's what he apparently runs, I don't trust anything in scouting reports any fucking more! Anyways he "supposedly" runs a 4.48 40, and some people say he runs a 4.38 40! Now a QB who runs a 4.38 40! Are you fuckin kidding me! I'll take him! As long as he doesn't go to a fuckin shit school like little TULSA!
shit school huh!!!!! you got beat by a div.1-aa school at home! against toledo At HOME FUCK Michigan Check your college football history!!!! U guys got out recruited by the smallest div1 football school!!!!!!!!! Michigan sucks bigten cant win shit by the way they cant count! 11 teams and they're called the big 10!!!!!!!!ha
If we don't get Denard Robinson, or Tajh Boyd, I will lose my mind, I haved supported RR and Michigan in everyway possible, but this decommitment to FUCKIN TULSA of all teams, that just pisses me off!
Yeah you might want to get your facts straight. He's 6'7 270. It won't be hard at all for him to put on weight. He will probably put on 20-25 pounds before the season starts. Beaver will put on some weight too.
"He will probably put on 20-25 pounds before the season starts"
I'm not worried about Beaver. 180 pound QB's succeed all the time in college (just not in the pros). But undersized o-linemen do NOT succeed all the time. actually, they rarely succeed. And you're tellnig me to get my facts straight? NOBODY gains 25 pounds in a sinlge offseason unless they are like Barry Bonds, in which case they come udner suspicion of using steroids. Yeah, he may gain 25 over his 4 year career....if that!
You can't just gain 25 poinds in one short offseason. It almsot enver happns. lewan is udnersized now, and he he probably won't be big enough to be a good linemen until his senior o redshirt junior year, when he's (hopefully) above 290. Lewans size will likely prevent him from becoming an all big ten lineman. I'll say it again: the fact that dickrod is recrtuiting mostly udnersized players at every position is really sickening. This is football. Not track.
He won't decommit, I just read an article on how he's goin to enroll in Michigan early, as in this January! He also said things after his visit in October like "I loved Michigan so much, I definintly made the right decision." And he also said how "fans were yelling his name at the game," and that "he had never seen anything more crazy, and I can't wait to arrive." I don't think he of all people will decommit.
Ya, and we have a great chance at getting a 5-star in William Cambell, he's got two high-school teamates already commited to us, we are low on the depth chart at DT, he was already commited to us one time, and he was at the duke game last week, and loved the visit!
I know. Lewan is really highly regarded by every recruiting site. You would think he''s the enxt Jake Long based on the way everybody drools over him. But here's the problem with Lewan: he's undersized at 6'2 270. Lewan must put on some serious weight if anybody expects him to be a dominating o-lineman at Michigan. I hate the fatc that dickrod is recruiting mostly undersized (or downright tiny players) at every position. this is football. Not track and field
are there rumors of Beaver decommitting from Michigan? He looks so much better than Forcier to me,and the fact that he could come to Mich in January and improve and get used to RR, this kid can be a star next year. I hope to god he s cming!
Pro prospects? C'mon now. Beaver is not even 190. QB's like him aren't ever pro prospects. Beaver will be a good college QB whether he's at Michigan or somewhere else. If he stays at Michigan (which he likely will) it'll be ebcause h wants to operate dickrods spread option offense, not ebcause he wants to polish his NFL resume.
Better chance here than any other schools especially Ohio State. No Ohio State QB has made it in the NFL. Terrell Pryor you are screwed! You will most likely be a bust in the NFL guaranteed!
Thats true. Michigan definitely has a better history of producing NFL quarterbacks then Ohio State does. Michigan has produced the likes of Elvis Grbac, Todd Collins (don't discredit what Collins did in Washington), Brian griese, and of course, Tom Brady. But the only buckeye QB to be a regular starter for any decent stretch is Craig Krenzel (and he only lated one season-in 2004). Otherwise, the Buckeyes have nothing. T. Smith? S. bellesari? J. Germaine? S. Jackson?
was at 50% the week before. You do not want to mess with a player's foot, particularly a running back. If you seriously think you are a better talent evaluator than Rich Rod, why don't you become a D-1 coach. If you think he played worse players on purpose, you're an idiot. He played Minor when he was healthy, and he played Brown when he was healthy. And even with those guys healthy, the o-line was spotty and they're not exactly b-west and LT. Butler can't block, Greg didn't have a qb.
" But, it healed fully, and they had no depth that weak"
fully healed? It was never that bad to begin with!!!!! The proof is in the pudding
"was at 50% the week before"
LOL. Yep. you know nothnig about football. NOBODY goes from 50% to 100% over one week. NOBODY. BROWN WAS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO PLAY!!!! He came out of nwoehere against NW! It wasn't a gradual process where he goes from doubtful tp questionable to probable. he went from out to in over the course of a week.
" If you seriously think you are a better talent evaluator than Rich Rod, why don't you become a D-1 coach"
ah yes. the strawmans argument. I'm not a coach, therefore, I shouldn't criticize his decisions. Seriosu question: do you think the Lions should ahve kept Marty Morhnwiweg? you probably do.
"If you think he played worse players on purpose"
in dickrods mind, the players he started (like Odoms) were 'better' players.
Any idiot knows that a foot injury is critical to a running back. It affects cutting ability, balance, and speed. If it is not completely healed, the running back will not perform well (as evidenced by LT early this year, Brian Westbrook when hurt, and tons of other examples) no matter how good he is when healthy. Even if he played hurt, he would have been ineffective (rb's kinda need healthy feet) and could have even worsened his injury.
If you are 80%-90% healthy like Brown and Minor were, and like Junior Hemnigway was before his mono, yOU UTILIZE THEM!!! Its a self evident fact of football. Did you even play football in highschool? Even if you were a benchwarmer like me? Obviously you didn't, cuase you don't know jackshit about how practice works or about how injuries work. Yeah, if Brown truly had a bad foot injury, don't play him. BUT HE DIDN'T!! otherwise he enver would ahve played so well against NW! You are retarted
You're not responding to shit. A running back is different from a wr for one. If his foot is not 100% (even if it is 80-90%) he becomes ineffective. LT and Brian Westbrook have not been immune to that, but somehow Brown and Minor were supposed to be? "Obviously he was at least 75% healthy the entire damn time". Based on what? Like I said, the first game back is often great for players, not evidence that they were healthy the whole time.
" If his foot is not 100% (even if it is 80-90%) he becomes ineffective"
bullshit. Lets take LT and Brian Westbrook for example. They haven't been at 100% all year (I'll take your word on it that they've had bad foot injuries, as I haven't been following the NFL nearly as much as i do college football). However, LT is on pace for 1089 yards rushing and 10 total TD's, while Westbrook is on pace for 980 yards rushing and 17 total TD's (continued)
That's because they healed over the course of the year. I've watched every Eagles game, and most of Westbrook's production has come in 4 games, the only games when he was fully healthy. In those games, he totaled 491 yards and 10 TD's. In the other 7 games he played (hurt), he totaled 297 yards and 4 TD's. And LT wasn't hurt all season. In the first game, he hurt his toe, which made him very ineffective for a couple of games (40 carries for 93 yards). So yeah, you haven't followed NFL
"That's because they healed over the course of the year."
first you say they were too injured to be effective. Then when I point out how effective they've truly been, you back track and say "well, they are getting better!!" Word of caution: Don't trip over any rocks while backtracking!!
BTW, you are wrong about Westbrook. he's had two straight 100 yard games, but how about that 100 yard game against Atlanta which was sandwhiched by all his other average games where you plead "injury"?
You should follow your own team: Westbrrok wasn't the dominant all purpose force he usually he is when he battled that foot injury or whatever it was, but was he inneffective? hell no! So you are proven wrong yet again: tailbacks do NOT ahve to be 100% healthy to be effective.
And LT? his game to game stats have been virtually identical. he's had all of one 100 yard game all season. Now maybe he's injured. maybe he's lost a step. Eitherway, LT has been quite effective for the Chargers
"which made him very ineffective for a couple of games (40 carries for 93 yards)."
LT never had a 2 game stretch where had had 40 carries for 93 yards. Not once. you are factually wrong yet again. Oh, and let me corrct myself: LT has actually had 2 100 yard games. But 1 or 2, its of little consequence. LT ahs been effective all season, and he;s played in every game. So injury or not, you can;t use LT to back up your arguments that a TB needs to be 100% to be effective. you are wrong
(continued). Westbrook has actually been as good as he's ever been despite that foot injury. 17 total TD's? Nice! So much for being rendered innefffective! Oh, and LT? obviously 1089 yards and 10 total TD's is not vintage LT, but is he inneffective? Hell no! 75% of LT is better then 100% of San Diegos other runningbacks (J. Hester, Darron Sproles, and whoever else they got).
or hell, lets look at our own Michigan Wolverines: Mike Hart goes down with that bad ankle against Purdue, then he sits out against Illinois and Minnesota (whcih we both win) and he comes back against Michigan State and has 15 carries for 117 yards. Yeah, Hart was really inneffective that game! And don't tell me about Ohio State. We had 91 total yards of offense. Everybody on offense was garbage that day. Hart's (and Henne's) only hurt so much.
Haha laughable. First of all, Hart ran for well over 100 yards against the same defense the year before. Yup injury didn't hurt at all. Second of all, he was running behind Jake Long and Adam Kraus. Carlos Brown was injured in the foot, and would have had to create plays as the holes just weren't there. And what are you, a doctor? You don't know that they were mostly healthy. Just because their first game back was a success doesn't mean that they were not injured when they were benched.
"First of all, Hart ran for well over 100 yards against the same defense the year before."
who he ran for 100 yards against is irrelevant. By your logic, Hart should ahve been completely inneffective against whoever he played against sicne he wasn't 100%. But he wsn't. He was brilluant against Michigan State. You are factually wrong yet again. YOU CAN BE 80% OR SO AS A TB AN D STILL BE REALLY EFFECTIVE!! Stop ignoring reality you dumb cunt
"Second of all, he was running behind Jake Long and Adam Kraus."
newsflash: there's 5 players on the o-line, not 2. The right side of the line thats easonw as in constant flux. You're argument might be plausible if all 5 of Harts starters were healthy and playing great. BTW, sometimes TB's dop ahve to create plays themselves (see Harts 23 yard scamper against NW in 2007). brown has proven he has the ability to create plays. give him a block or 2 and he's off to the races
yes, i do. you don't just go from 'can't play' to 'starts and plays really well' in one damn week. That doesn't happen in football. use your brain dammit. Brown was mostly healthy for weeks. Otherwise, he never could ahve come out of nowhere and did what he did against NW
so, here's my point: to suggest that a tailback must have 100% healthy feet to be an effective runningback is nothnig short of a LIE! If they are at elast 75% like LT, Westbrook, and Hart were, YOU PLAY THEM!!!!!! But dickrod didn't play Carlos Brown! DICKROD IS A MORON!!!! (and so are you). Are Minor and brown immune to their injuries? No. BUT IF THEY ARE MOSTLY HEALTHY AND CAN PLAY< YOU PLAY THEM!!!!!!
By your logic, it is better to play ineffictively and risk injury than to let the injury heal so when you do play your ability is maximized. You have no idea the extent to which Brown's or Minor's injuries affected them. The only reason people thought Brown would receive a medical redshirt is that he had missed so much of the season that they could just bench him the rest of the season. But, it healed fully, and they had no depth that weak, so he played. For all you know, he (continued)
thats where i've proven you wrong time and tiome again: they are not inneffective just cause they are not 100%. Not even close
" You have no idea the extent to which Brown's or Minor's injuries affected them."
No i don't. But in the first 6 games, Minor got 13 carries, and he was making big plasy virutally every time he touched the football. Brown? he's suppsoedly injured, then he comes out of nwoehere and explodes against NW
based on the fact that all week long, Brown was on the injury list and wasn't going to play, until gameday comes around and dickrod announces he was a starter. Therefore, the prudent conclusion to draw is that brown was NEVER INJURED TO THE POINT WHERE HE COULDN'T PLAY!!! You probably would ahve keppt Chad henne out the entire illinois game. "Oh, but he had a bad shoulder!!!" You enver would ahve played LT or Westbrook all season
The fact is, they had no one else that week. And LT or Westbrook were not injured all season. And though Chad Henne played the Illinois game, we saw how ineffective he was against OSU and Wiskey (don't give me any bullshit about good defenses because Henne shredded those defenses this year before). Leap of faith: the fact that Brown was healthy enough to play against Northwestern doesn't mean he was healthy enough the week before. There are such things as game-time decisions.
"we saw how ineffective he was against OSU and Wiskey (don't give me any bullshit about good defenses because Henne shredded those defenses this year before)."
OSU: everybody was inneffective against OSU, not just henne. Manningham and Arrington were fully healthy, and look how terrible they were that day. We had 91 yards of offense you dumbass. the 2006 game ended up emaning nothing on the 2007 game
Wisky: Henne played all of 2 series before being yanked. Can't judge him on that
"the fact that Brown was healthy enough to play against Northwestern doesn't mean he was healthy enough the week before."
yes, it does mean he was healhty the week before, and in the weeks before that. game time deicisons happen, but if Brown was truly getting better to the point of ebnig 100%, why weren't we informed? Why was he decalred out until the last minute? Dickord has been discreet about Michigans injury situation. Brown was clearly healthy the entire time (mostly, anyays)
you're a fucking moron, and you don't know shit about football. if you are mostly healthy (just not 100%) like LT, Henne, Westbrook, and Hart were, you fucking play them. You don't bench a player cause he's not 100%. Its a well known fact in football, and i don't give 2 shits what Brian Cook says otherwise.
If you;re going to ahve a debate with me, at elast get your facts straight. Otherwise, shut your fucking mouth
It's funny. If Dickrod had played Brown and Brown had aggravated his injury, then you would have blamed him for ruining a young player's career. The foot is vital to a running back, and if he can't sprint correctly or loses balance, he is useless. Plus, Brown isn't God to begin with; with a foot injury lowering his effectiveness and a spotty (at best) offensive line he wasn't likely to be a difference-maker. Rich Rod knew this and wasn't going to risk his health for marginal benefit.
"If Dickrod had played Brown and Brown had aggravated his injury, then you would have blamed him for ruining a young player's career."
no i wouldn't have. Better to play a star player like Brown who's not 100% and see what he does then bench him and enver give him a chance. You don't like giving anybody chances, do you? not previously unsuccessful head coaches (like Bill belichek), and not players who aren't 100% like Bron, LT, Henne, Hart, etc. God forbid you ever coach a football team
No, but he was our best runningback this side of Brandon Minor, and dickrod FAILED to utilize him. Dickord is a total joke of a head coach. Hence, our 3-9 record
"he wasn't likely to be a difference-maker"
Bullshit again. How about Minor scoring 9 total TD's and rushing or half a thousand yards in his 5 games as a starter? How about Browns great game against NW? Brown WOULD have been a difference maker. A HUGE one
"Rich Rod knew this and wasn't going to risk his health for marginal benefit."
dickrod took the same approach with Minor, and it blew up in his face. Minor was brilliant when he finally was utilized. imagine if dickrod had utilzied Minor in the fitst 6 games (and Brown, and Butler, and Mathes, and hemnigway [in the first 4 games for Hemnigway, anyways]). In that case, Michigan definitely beats Utah and Toledo, and probabaly makes it much closer against ND and Illinois.
Wow. First of all, the fact that Brown was healthy against NW doesn't mean he was healthy early in the season. Second of all, players come off the injured list all the time. They did not play Brown earlier in the season because they had depth and he wasn't 100%. However, against NW Brown was healthier than McGuffie and Minor. You can't say that was necessarily the case against other teams. What you are insinuating is that RichRod faked an injury to Brown in order to bench him. Laughable.
"the fact that Brown was healthy against NW doesn't mean he was healthy early in the season"
yes it does. Like i said: brown went from out to in over just one week. He never made the gradual proces thate verybody else makes (out-doubtful-questionable-probable). Brown just appeared out of the blue without notice. This is a clear indciation that he had been mostly healthy for weeks (maybe not 100%, but healthy enough to play). And dickrod failed to utilzie him

gobucksfu 2 years ago
gobucksfu, you are an idiot! Forcier is a MUCH better passer than Pryor could ever hope to be. And next year we have Gardner coming in (6'4", 205)
Speaking of pussies, someone should tell Pryor that he doesn't HAVE to run out of bounds when someone gets within 5 yards of him.
How old are you, 13? Get off mom's computer and clean your room like she told you to.
michiganriverman 2 years ago 3
listen you fuckin yuper...you obviously dont know shit about football considering quarterbacks are taught and instructed to run out of bounds. well..maybe not michigan players cuz they never really have a "qb"...just a bunch of randon dudes trying to throw a ball. not to mention how the fuck can you claim an incoming freshman who hasnt seen one minute in the ncaa is a better passer than anyone?? your a fucking moron and i guarantee you are single and havent touched a pussy in over 3 years
gobucksfu 2 years ago

Lets hope Gallon, Feagin, or somebody steps up next season and actually becomes a playmaker as the starting slot receiver

idk why anyone would hate on Martavious Odoms. He (aside from Brandon Minor)was the only player this year that could get a first down.

I addressed goblue9206 in a private message about Shitavious odoms, and as far as "doing what he could with a young trasnition team," I could say the same thing about Nick Sheridan. That doesn't mean Sheridan is good. Sheridan sucks, and you know it. Same thnig with Odoms

I'm not a nay-sayer I'm just as excited as anyone about Bring Big Will back to UM but after this past season I can't help but be skeptical.
goblue9206 3 years ago
Thats why i said "if" 4 different times. LOL. Whether we'll get good coachnig from Tall and the new d-coordinator is a HUGE if, And furthermore, its like you pointed out, our d-line is young. Graham is a senior, and he will hold the line together, but Martin is a true sophomore, Campbell is a redshirt sophomore, and Campbell is a true freshman. So yeah, experience on the d-line could be an issue. i say "could" because Van Bergen and Martin were regularly used subs, so they have some experience
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
So technically speaking, Campbell si the only "inexperienced" starter on our 2009 d-line, but then again, wouldn't you take him over renaldo Sagessee, who's a junior but who's only a 3 star prospect? (from fucking Canada I might add). I think IF IF IF we get good coaching, then the 2009 d-line will play well, even though all the starters save Graham are underclssmen (albeit not necesarily inexperienced). Im just so glad we got a 6'5, 305 pound 5 star defensive tackle
Go Blue!
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
True True. Good Coaching is the deciding Factor. The way I see it, there's nowhere to go but up for Michigan's Defense. And as far as renaldo Sagesse being a 3 star prospect, I'll have you know that Mike Hart was a 3 star as was Carson Butler.
goblue9206 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Braylon Edwards and Obi Ezeh were 3 stars as well.
Go Blue!
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Great pickup. I think he fooled alot of experts, he seems like a very likable kid. I heard the Wolverines are looking good with Je'Ron Stokes, that would take the place of McNeal. I am glad Campbell decided to stay in the Big Ten, by the looks of the bowl games we need every good player we can get.
osurecruiting 3 years ago

72seeker72 3 years ago
Commits are like a guessing game. How is someone a decommit if they never commited to a school, if someone doesn't sign a letter of intent then they are not a commit. You hear Will Campbell is going hear and going there. I hear LSU, but I think Miami. I could be wrong and he chooses Michigan it is really a guessing game.
osurecruiting 3 years ago
Honestly the decommits other than Campbell; really are not that big of a deal. The Wolverines have plenty of wide receivers and have a great QB coming in. The Campbell decommit has more to it than I care to talk about however, I can assure you it has nothing to do with the things you listed. From what I am hearing it is Miami, but you never know Campbell may shock some people and become a Wolverine. Some of the recruiting sites just use news to sell memberships.
osurecruiting 3 years ago
never heard of him until the name Michigan came up, his 15 mins of fame is up, he is just to small

I don't have a problem with him going to the school of his choice, but announcing it two weeks before he was set to enroll was bootleg. He stuck with it through a terrible season, did the interviews and then pulls Tulsa at the last minute. At least he didn't wait until he was already at UM, then decide he wanted to go somewhere else.
eltigre1017 3 years ago
Tulsa is a good place for him, he just isnt big enough for BCS football, 179 just dont cut it at QB, he had a hard time staying healthy in high school, so best to him..
Plus he can be close to his family..

Sorry about the recent decommits. I think Forcier was ahead of Beaver at this stage of the game, Beaver just flat out didn't want to compete. In regards to recruiting, Big Will Campbell will be a Wolverine, I have heard from more than one source that he is already made up his mind.
osurecruiting 3 years ago
You serious?????!!!!! I was really hopin he would come back to us, I mean I heard that he only reopened his recruiting just to experience the recruting process, but I wasn't sure if he was actually thinkin about comin back! And the recent decommits don't hurt us, except Cambell and this one, but we have a great shot at Cambell, and Forcier is an incredible quarterback, and we'll still sign another quarteback, hopefully Denard Robinson!

72seeker72 3 years ago
michgan told him to decommit they obviously have something planned so im watchin scout cuz somnethin big is about to happen.
jbarnhart36 3 years ago
I agree, I think Eugene Smith has been on RR's radar since he took the UM job. This may be the reason for Beaver's de-commit. Either that, OR he doesn't pack the gear to compete w/Forcier. I mean, C'mon, Tulsa???? No way, academicaly does Tulsa compare w/the education he'd get at UM, it doesn't make sense. I read an article that said his decision was based on the fact that Tulsa had a "family and friends" atmosphere, NOT about a "logo"....whatever! I think he didn't want to compete for playtime.
Brewhaman 3 years ago
Ya and he also said somethin about how he'll get to compete for the qb job right away. HE WOULD GET TO COMPETE FOR THE JOB AT MICHIGAN TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TULSA won't ever compete for a national championship, Michigan will, and the education that you get at Michigan is a rare opprtunity, especially with the economy these days! Everything Beaver said in that article, it's just hard to buy. Money had to be involved, no way TULSA can steal a recruit from us, the University of Michigan!
goblue918 3 years ago
Is your comment part of a comedy sketch? AN education at Michigan? He's majoring in football, so welcome to reality. I read the Freep saying Beaver "wasn't quite as far along" as Forcier. That's trying to make a tragic situation less tragic. Thanks Freep. This is a HUGE loss. He looks way faster than Forcier. I wonder if the 3-9 season helped make his decision? Hmmmm...we may never know. Keep telling yourself money was invovled. He wants to play, and he'd probably sit behind Forcier. Simple.
72seeker72 3 years ago
There is NO comedy sketch here, it's a fact that an education from Michigan will take you further than any education from Tulsa. "Majoring in Football", I expect a comment like that coming from and OSU fan. If that's the fact "he wasn't as far along as Forcier" than my hypothesis stands correct, he didn't want to compete for playing time! But really, what's it too you that he decommitted from Michigan, shouldn't you be more concerned about O$U's recruiting? Or are you just here to break balls?
Brewhaman 3 years ago
Break balls? Hmm, you make it sound like leaving a comment here is equal to a criminal offense. Do you have anything in terms of REAL evidence of OSU's illegal recruiting or are you just full of sour grapes? 5 in a row has gotta hurt. (I noticed the very sly "$" in your OSU. Hmmm...what could that mean?) Maybe the Fab 5 of Michigan basketball hey-day know something about that. I like to talk Big Ten football. The Rich Rod drama and tragic turn of events at Michigan is such a sad story...
72seeker72 3 years ago
LOL, no, it isn't a criminal offense to post your opinion, if you're an american, it's your right! But knowing that you're an O"$"U fan, it only makes sense that you're hear to talk shit about a prospect de-committing from Michigan. I have no evidence of Overrated States "illegal recruiting" and never said anything of the like, not sure where you're going w/that one. If you love "B10 Football Talk", funny how you leave all the juicy drama going on in C-bus out of your "sad story". "Hmmmmmmmm"!
Brewhaman 3 years ago
Juicy drama in C-bus? Fill me in on that one, I'm unaware. But Ann Arbor's sports scene truly is a Sad Story. Although no such tragedy has afflicted Buckeye Nation. Last time I checked they: Rode their true Freshman QB to a 10-2 Big Ten Championship and a trip to Glendale, Arizona to meet the #3 team in the country. Sunny skies indeed! Old Lloyd should never have resigned. All he had to do was beat Ohio State. Just once!ONCE!!!!
72seeker72 3 years ago
There's ALWAYS drama in C-bus, ever since McSweatervest arrived. He's just so good at sweeping things under the rug that only a few things, like OSWho players getting caught stealing at department stores, actually make the headlines. There are several "other" juicy stories, the "dirty 30", Tress's YSU days, Troy Smith, Clarett..sigh...the list goes on and on. Whoopee if you're going to the Fiesta Bowl, we all know how Overrated State fairs in BCS games, don't see why that would change!
Brewhaman 3 years ago
And what the fucks so sad about "ann arbors sport scene"? The basketball team is finally showing they can hang, the hockey and baseball teams are always producing, so your your statement is complete Korean Bullshit!
The football team had a horrible year, but given the circumstances, anyone who thought otherwise was just hoping! And O$U "rode their true freshman"? Again, BS! You went with that big dopey kid, Jokeman, then resorted to putting Dumbo (pryor) and his ballon ball on the field!
Brewhaman 3 years ago
So I'm going to have to ignore 90% of your message AGAIN due to its inane nature--forgive me--but let's go back a few years: Why did Lloyd quit? Was he really being "forced out"--ala Tuberville&Fatty Fulmer?I mean, 6-7 overall vs. OSU is bad, but it's not THAT bad. It's OSU we're talking about here! Given the utter DEVASTATION to the program that we've now witnessed with RR, do you think the Prez&AD would take Carr back? Don't you think that's the direction they should be moving in?Come back LC!
72seeker72 3 years ago
Ignoring "90%" of my message only solidifies my position....you're only here to talk shit about Michigan's poor season and the de-commitment...PERIOD!
Come back when you have a valid point, better yet, don't come back, I'm tired of owning you on these message boards.
Brewhaman 3 years ago
If he has an attitide that thinking that he would sit behind Forcier, then he shouldn't come to us, a quarterback with confidence like Forcier, is a hell of a lot better than a quarerback with no confidence, example, Threet and Sheridan! And you must be an OSU fan cause you obviously don't know how many guys come to Michigan cause of the education they offer. So NO, that comment wasn't a comedy sketch you piece of dumb fuck!
goblue918 3 years ago
he IS an O$U fan!
Brewhaman 3 years ago
Hey, "family and friends" may actually mean "family and friends." Is that such a hard thing to comprehend? A lot of guys like to play close to home. I'm sure he saw the tragic McGuffie situation and thought twice about A) going so far away from home and B) going 4-8 with limited if any playing time. Forcier looks good, but does it matter if the rest of the team looks like Purdue?
72seeker72 3 years ago
No shit family and friends means family and friends! McGuffie is a way differtent situation, his family had SERIOUS issues, and was pretty much forced to go back home! And that's an understandable situation. BTW good luck McGuffie, that's comin from the heart, I hope you get things straightened out with the family. Back to Beaver, the fact that the qb is where we needed the most help, he'd get plenty of playing time! And there is always the most improvement between year 1 and year 2!
goblue918 3 years ago
72seeker72 3 years ago
And I'm sure if McGuffie went to Chokeeye Nation, Teflon Tress would of had Sam a job at a car dealership and had his kid-brother hooked up with an off-campus apartment for the 2 to share! Please, give it a break you Comi-bastard!

no troy smith is 6'0 215 lbs now u check a roster
hustla513 3 years ago
Go Blue!
goblue918 3 years ago
he is too small to play Qb in college he weights 180 lbs are u serious michigan dont need him tate forcier will take care of business
hustla513 3 years ago
Well, it's very easy to gain weight, he's 6-3, so no he's not to small to play qb in college, but, Forcier is ranked as the most accurate quaterback in this class, and he's just as fast as Beaver, so he's the one that has the most potential as of right now, and height don't matter, Doug Flutie was 5-10, he won a heisman, so if anybody tries to tell you that Forcier is too short for quarterback, they can kiss my ass!
Go Blue!

It's hard to believe this that TULSA of all schools could take away a Michigan recruit. The coaches who visited Beaver's home yesterday had to have offered him money, there's is no way that this could possibly happen without money involved.

LOL, Tulsa....he must have thought Tate's talents would be too much competition!

johnnyv1938 3 years ago
Fuckin either fully commit, or don't fuckin commit at all! And if you do fully commit, don't take visits anywehere else, especially behind the team you say you're going to enroll in. It's so ridiculos these days how people can just think how they decommit and that only hurts the team they decommit from. Well, it doesn't, it hurts other teams too, and it can even hurt yourself at times! Oh well, it's his loss, not ours.
goblue918 3 years ago
Why would you want someone who jumps ship. I am a Buckeye fan, but this decommting stuff is getting horrible, not just for Michigan but for every college. It's getting to the point where you can't trust a verbal. Forcier is the best qb of the bunch. I think Ohio State signs Boyd, that will allow Michigan to sign D. Gardner for 2010, he is a beast. There is enough talent in place and still coming in at Michigan, let the people walk, what kind of teammate would they had made anyway?

It's not like RR brutally tortured Beaver...

Poole1Dan 3 years ago
you might be a richrod supporter in the sense that you don't want him fired right now like I do, but most Michigan fans are like you.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago

how long are you willing to give him? And what if Michigan ahs a losing record in 2009 like they likely will? Do you fire him then?

Sure, RR sucked ass and he didn't adjust
BUT JUST GIVE THE MOTHER FER ONE MORE SEASON TO PROVE HIMSELF
God will only now how you live ur life. U have to learn to calm the bloody f**k down and wait for the rewards of knowledge to seek in that impatient brain of yours.

LOL. The real world is not falling apart, even with obama getting elected. the real world will be fine. But the world of Michigan football? Now thats a world that going to hell in a hurry. Hence why dickrod must be fired.

Yeah you might want to get your facts straight. He's 6'7 270. It won't be hard at all for him to put on weight. He will probably put on 20-25 pounds before the season starts. Beaver will put on some weight too.
aw4au112 3 years ago
"He will probably put on 20-25 pounds before the season starts"
I'm not worried about Beaver. 180 pound QB's succeed all the time in college (just not in the pros). But undersized o-linemen do NOT succeed all the time. actually, they rarely succeed. And you're tellnig me to get my facts straight? NOBODY gains 25 pounds in a sinlge offseason unless they are like Barry Bonds, in which case they come udner suspicion of using steroids. Yeah, he may gain 25 over his 4 year career....if that!
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
You can't just gain 25 poinds in one short offseason. It almsot enver happns. lewan is udnersized now, and he he probably won't be big enough to be a good linemen until his senior o redshirt junior year, when he's (hopefully) above 290. Lewans size will likely prevent him from becoming an all big ten lineman. I'll say it again: the fact that dickrod is recrtuiting mostly udnersized players at every position is really sickening. This is football. Not track.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago

Look at Taylor Lewans offer list.... it is very impressive. Rivals wrote an article on him how he might be Michigan's steal of the year.
aw4au112 3 years ago
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Lewan is 6'7 270 btw...
Fataznguy888 3 years ago

montrealish 3 years ago
Pro prospects? C'mon now. Beaver is not even 190. QB's like him aren't ever pro prospects. Beaver will be a good college QB whether he's at Michigan or somewhere else. If he stays at Michigan (which he likely will) it'll be ebcause h wants to operate dickrods spread option offense, not ebcause he wants to polish his NFL resume.
Go blue!
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Better chance here than any other schools especially Ohio State. No Ohio State QB has made it in the NFL. Terrell Pryor you are screwed! You will most likely be a bust in the NFL guaranteed!
montrealish 3 years ago

TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
" But, it healed fully, and they had no depth that weak"
fully healed? It was never that bad to begin with!!!!! The proof is in the pudding
"was at 50% the week before"
LOL. Yep. you know nothnig about football. NOBODY goes from 50% to 100% over one week. NOBODY. BROWN WAS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO PLAY!!!! He came out of nwoehere against NW! It wasn't a gradual process where he goes from doubtful tp questionable to probable. he went from out to in over the course of a week.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
" If you seriously think you are a better talent evaluator than Rich Rod, why don't you become a D-1 coach"
ah yes. the strawmans argument. I'm not a coach, therefore, I shouldn't criticize his decisions. Seriosu question: do you think the Lions should ahve kept Marty Morhnwiweg? you probably do.
"If you think he played worse players on purpose"
in dickrods mind, the players he started (like Odoms) were 'better' players.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"He played Minor when he was healthy"
no he didn't. otherwise Minor would ahve been playing in the first 6 games
" and he played Brown when he was healthy"
No, he didn't. Otherwise he would ahve played Brown all season lnog and not just the NW game
" the o-line was spotty"
Minor and Brown still amde huge plays when they goot the ball. They're not LT or Westbrook, but they are damn good tailbacks.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
" Just because their first game back was a success doesn't mean that they were not injured when they were benched"
it does they were never injured badly if they go from out to in over one week
"Butler can't block"
That problem can be fixed through coaching, which Michigan has none of
"Greg didn't have a qb"
Mathews wasn limited cause dickrod forced the spread option down Michigans throats and didn;t utilzie Mathews
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Any idiot knows that a foot injury is critical to a running back. It affects cutting ability, balance, and speed. If it is not completely healed, the running back will not perform well (as evidenced by LT early this year, Brian Westbrook when hurt, and tons of other examples) no matter how good he is when healthy. Even if he played hurt, he would have been ineffective (rb's kinda need healthy feet) and could have even worsened his injury.
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
If you are 80%-90% healthy like Brown and Minor were, and like Junior Hemnigway was before his mono, yOU UTILIZE THEM!!! Its a self evident fact of football. Did you even play football in highschool? Even if you were a benchwarmer like me? Obviously you didn't, cuase you don't know jackshit about how practice works or about how injuries work. Yeah, if Brown truly had a bad foot injury, don't play him. BUT HE DIDN'T!! otherwise he enver would ahve played so well against NW! You are retarted
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
You're not responding to shit. A running back is different from a wr for one. If his foot is not 100% (even if it is 80-90%) he becomes ineffective. LT and Brian Westbrook have not been immune to that, but somehow Brown and Minor were supposed to be? "Obviously he was at least 75% healthy the entire damn time". Based on what? Like I said, the first game back is often great for players, not evidence that they were healthy the whole time.
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
" If his foot is not 100% (even if it is 80-90%) he becomes ineffective"
bullshit. Lets take LT and Brian Westbrook for example. They haven't been at 100% all year (I'll take your word on it that they've had bad foot injuries, as I haven't been following the NFL nearly as much as i do college football). However, LT is on pace for 1089 yards rushing and 10 total TD's, while Westbrook is on pace for 980 yards rushing and 17 total TD's (continued)
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
That's because they healed over the course of the year. I've watched every Eagles game, and most of Westbrook's production has come in 4 games, the only games when he was fully healthy. In those games, he totaled 491 yards and 10 TD's. In the other 7 games he played (hurt), he totaled 297 yards and 4 TD's. And LT wasn't hurt all season. In the first game, he hurt his toe, which made him very ineffective for a couple of games (40 carries for 93 yards). So yeah, you haven't followed NFL
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"That's because they healed over the course of the year."
first you say they were too injured to be effective. Then when I point out how effective they've truly been, you back track and say "well, they are getting better!!" Word of caution: Don't trip over any rocks while backtracking!!
BTW, you are wrong about Westbrook. he's had two straight 100 yard games, but how about that 100 yard game against Atlanta which was sandwhiched by all his other average games where you plead "injury"?
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
You should follow your own team: Westbrrok wasn't the dominant all purpose force he usually he is when he battled that foot injury or whatever it was, but was he inneffective? hell no! So you are proven wrong yet again: tailbacks do NOT ahve to be 100% healthy to be effective.
And LT? his game to game stats have been virtually identical. he's had all of one 100 yard game all season. Now maybe he's injured. maybe he's lost a step. Eitherway, LT has been quite effective for the Chargers
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"which made him very ineffective for a couple of games (40 carries for 93 yards)."
LT never had a 2 game stretch where had had 40 carries for 93 yards. Not once. you are factually wrong yet again. Oh, and let me corrct myself: LT has actually had 2 100 yard games. But 1 or 2, its of little consequence. LT ahs been effective all season, and he;s played in every game. So injury or not, you can;t use LT to back up your arguments that a TB needs to be 100% to be effective. you are wrong
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
(continued). Westbrook has actually been as good as he's ever been despite that foot injury. 17 total TD's? Nice! So much for being rendered innefffective! Oh, and LT? obviously 1089 yards and 10 total TD's is not vintage LT, but is he inneffective? Hell no! 75% of LT is better then 100% of San Diegos other runningbacks (J. Hester, Darron Sproles, and whoever else they got).
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
or hell, lets look at our own Michigan Wolverines: Mike Hart goes down with that bad ankle against Purdue, then he sits out against Illinois and Minnesota (whcih we both win) and he comes back against Michigan State and has 15 carries for 117 yards. Yeah, Hart was really inneffective that game! And don't tell me about Ohio State. We had 91 total yards of offense. Everybody on offense was garbage that day. Hart's (and Henne's) only hurt so much.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Haha laughable. First of all, Hart ran for well over 100 yards against the same defense the year before. Yup injury didn't hurt at all. Second of all, he was running behind Jake Long and Adam Kraus. Carlos Brown was injured in the foot, and would have had to create plays as the holes just weren't there. And what are you, a doctor? You don't know that they were mostly healthy. Just because their first game back was a success doesn't mean that they were not injured when they were benched.
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"First of all, Hart ran for well over 100 yards against the same defense the year before."
who he ran for 100 yards against is irrelevant. By your logic, Hart should ahve been completely inneffective against whoever he played against sicne he wasn't 100%. But he wsn't. He was brilluant against Michigan State. You are factually wrong yet again. YOU CAN BE 80% OR SO AS A TB AN D STILL BE REALLY EFFECTIVE!! Stop ignoring reality you dumb cunt
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"Second of all, he was running behind Jake Long and Adam Kraus."
newsflash: there's 5 players on the o-line, not 2. The right side of the line thats easonw as in constant flux. You're argument might be plausible if all 5 of Harts starters were healthy and playing great. BTW, sometimes TB's dop ahve to create plays themselves (see Harts 23 yard scamper against NW in 2007). brown has proven he has the ability to create plays. give him a block or 2 and he's off to the races
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"You don't know that they were mostly healthy."
yes, i do. you don't just go from 'can't play' to 'starts and plays really well' in one damn week. That doesn't happen in football. use your brain dammit. Brown was mostly healthy for weeks. Otherwise, he never could ahve come out of nowhere and did what he did against NW
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
so, here's my point: to suggest that a tailback must have 100% healthy feet to be an effective runningback is nothnig short of a LIE!
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
By your logic, it is better to play ineffictively and risk injury than to let the injury heal so when you do play your ability is maximized. You have no idea the extent to which Brown's or Minor's injuries affected them. The only reason people thought Brown would receive a medical redshirt is that he had missed so much of the season that they could just bench him the rest of the season. But, it healed fully, and they had no depth that weak, so he played. For all you know, he (continued)
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"it is better to play ineffictively"
thats where i've proven you wrong time and tiome again: they are not inneffective just cause they are not 100%.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"Based on what?"
based on the fact that all week long, Brown was on the injury list and wasn't going to play, until gameday comes around and dickrod announces he was a starter.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
The fact is, they had no one else that week. And LT or Westbrook were not injured all season. And though Chad Henne played the Illinois game, we saw how ineffective he was against OSU and Wiskey (don't give me any bullshit about good defenses because Henne shredded those defenses this year before). Leap of faith: the fact that Brown was healthy enough to play against Northwestern doesn't mean he was healthy enough the week before. There are such things as game-time decisions.
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"we saw how ineffective he was against OSU and Wiskey (don't give me any bullshit about good defenses because Henne shredded those defenses this year before)."
OSU: everybody was inneffective against OSU, not just henne. Manningham and Arrington were fully healthy, and look how terrible they were that day. We had 91 yards of offense you dumbass. the 2006 game ended up emaning nothing on the 2007 game
Wisky: Henne played all of 2 series before being yanked. Can't judge him on that
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"the fact that Brown was healthy enough to play against Northwestern doesn't mean he was healthy enough the week before."
yes, it does mean he was healhty the week before, and in the weeks before that. game time deicisons happen, but if Brown was truly getting better to the point of ebnig 100%, why weren't we informed? Why was he decalred out until the last minute? Dickord has been discreet about Michigans injury situation. Brown was clearly healthy the entire time (mostly, anyays)
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
you're a fucking moron, and you don't know shit about football. if you are mostly healthy (just not 100%) like LT, Henne, Westbrook, and Hart were, you fucking play them. You don't bench a player cause he's not 100%. Its a well known fact in football, and i don't give 2 shits what Brian Cook says otherwise.
If you;re going to ahve a debate with me, at elast get your facts straight. Otherwise, shut your fucking mouth

Poole1Dan 3 years ago
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"If Dickrod had played Brown and Brown had aggravated his injury, then you would have blamed him for ruining a young player's career."
no i wouldn't have. Better to play a star player like Brown who's not 100% and see what he does then bench him and enver give him a chance. You don't like giving anybody chances, do you? not previously unsuccessful head coaches (like Bill belichek), and not players who aren't 100% like Bron, LT, Henne, Hart, etc. God forbid you ever coach a football team
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"Plus, Brown isn't God to begin with"
No, but he was our best runningback this side of Brandon Minor, and dickrod FAILED to utilize him.
A HUGE one
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"Rich Rod knew this and wasn't going to risk his health for marginal benefit."
dickrod took the same approach with Minor, and it blew up in his face. Minor was brilliant when he finally was utilized. imagine if dickrod had utilzied Minor in the fitst 6 games (and Brown, and Butler, and Mathes, and hemnigway [in the first 4 games for Hemnigway, anyways]). In that case, Michigan definitely beats Utah and Toledo, and probabaly makes it much closer against ND and Illinois.
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
Laughable.
TheNextAriGold 3 years ago
"the fact that Brown was healthy against NW doesn't mean he was healthy early in the season"
yes it does. Like i said: brown went from out to in over just one week. He never made the gradual proces thate verybody else makes (out-doubtful-questionable-probable). Brown just appeared out of the blue without notice. This is a clear indciation that he had been mostly healthy for weeks (maybe not 100%, but healthy enough to play). And dickrod failed to utilzie him
Poole1Dan 3 years ago
"Second of all, players come off the injured list all the time"
But they do not go from out to in unless they were never 'out' to begin with, as is the case with Carlos Brown
"They did not play Brown earlier in the season because they had depth and he wasn't 100%."
wrong. Dickrod didn't play brown cause dickrod just refused to utilzie him, and you don't ahve to be 100% to be effective.
