  • Good old MD-80s.

  • where was this ?

  • KSFB

  • A very good emergency landing ! I guess no one was hurt. That´s most important !

  • EXCELLENT JOB!!

  • that pilot saved alot of lives that day

  • THAT PILOT IS A HERO !

  • Pilots did a great job.

  • Fly Globespan 767 at 0:16 LOL :D

  • @Flyglobespan93 i think thats a thomas cook from the UK

  • @vroomba03 No definitely a Globespan 767, Look at it on Google Images if you dont know

  • "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. It seems we have a malfunction on our nose landing gear. We are making an emergency landing and its going to be a rough. Please follow the flight crew's instructions. Oh and please hold the fuck on. Were going in hard and fast."

  • yeah but they have $20 each way flights! You get what you pay for.

  • how come the emergency shutes didn't deploy right away. The plane seems coming to stop at 0:45 and the video lasts till 1:27 and until the end there were no shutes seemingly deployed.

  • @reckz420 the slides aren't always used. they are extremely expensive to replace, and people are almost always injured using them. if the plane was becoming engulfed in flames or there was smoke on board, they would use them, but not this time.

  • he had it and at the last second let it drop

  • how did he keep the nose up for so long?

  • @Siriusstunna I do not know but he got my respect for doing that for sure.

Now thats what i call a great pilot.

  • do you know where they flew from. my family and i flew on allegiant from ny to sanford

  • Fantastic pilots!

  • wow, well done captain and,co pilot of course very impressive!

  • Nice Landing

    Without the nose gear

Like every pilot should do it in that situation hold the nose of the airplane as long as possible up and no speedbrakes used

  • hmm. Looks like a very rough landing. I think most pilots can perform this, its not like this guy is a jewel and worth a million dollars or he wouldnt be flying with allegiant.

  • @ASRBanshee i dont think so if the pilot buts that nose down too fast the whole front of the plane would catch on fire. The pilots did an excellent job who cares if he flys for allegiant

  • Thats a good pilot. shouldnt be flying with alligeant. deserves a promotion to virgin

  • OUCH!! hard touchdown

  • i would so as for a refund lol

  • im flying on them on Aug. 1

  • Good work!

  • the plane looks sad :(

  • One major hazard: He cant really steer so tf the plane comes down at an angle to the centerline, differential braking may not be enough.

  • i've always wondered how do they get the airplane out of the runway after the incident.

  • Bravo! Mission accomplished! :D

  • it was a good landing on the foam..

  • Great job , my friend was on that flight and they kept real cool.....

  • good pilot

  • I'm just wondering, a question to be answered by a pilot, But isn't there an emergency pressurized nose gear extension or manual lever for the front nose gear extension?

  • @BayHike nope, normaly the nosegear comes out only by gravity so there if it is stuck you cant get it out.

  • Haha the comments are funny. What a great video though

  • The plane looks like a seal or something without its nosgear.. looks so cute =D =D

  • Ha lucky for me ill be flying on allegiant soon

  • Where was this in?

  • i hate the people who say they were their ,,,

  • man that is what you call a quality pilot under pressure like that and landss perfectly in sanford !! quality

  • not the 1st time a Maddog has had gear problems... Spanair MD-83 crashed with a right main gear wheel breaking off as he had a little tail wind in Liverpool UK a few yrs back

  • go fuck your self in the ass

  • that pilot is pretty sick

  • this company flies direct from my local airport to orlando all the time...this really hits home for me

  • amazing landing

  • 'FAKE' What a dick you are alphamale300k

  • You're just one of those douche bags that loves to say FAKE just to get a rise out of people but I wouldn't rule out your stupidity for thinking 9/11 was a government hoax.

  • I'd just love to see what that little mindless cock smoker said. Too bad the little maggot's comments got down rated so soon. Worthless POS.

  • I'm pretty sure it just said "fake".

  • @alphamale300k You'd have to be an idiot to think this was fake. How about doing a little research before posting, "FAKE", huh? I saw this in person, and trust me, it was quite real.

  • @United737522 you saw it in person, MY ASS!

Quit trying to be a tough guy over the internet and go back into the hole you climbed out of, TROLL!

  • Shove it.... here's my proof: w w w (dot) jetphotos (dot) net/viewphoto.php?id=5945917&nseq=0

  • @United737522 How is that proof?

  • @United737522 maby you took some drugs?

  • @United737522 you were not there. I smell BS

  • Ok, whatever. I don't need to prove myself to you. I have better things to do than lie about being at a po-dunk airport for a gear up landing. I was there, believe it or don't. I don't care.

  • How did you see this in person? Are you an air controller? Do you work on the fire department of the airport? Please elaborate on how where you able to see this? Otherwise BS it's still in the air...

  • At the time, I was a student at Delta Connection Academy, a flight school on the northwest corner of the airport. We heard it on the radio and we all stood on the side of the ramp and watched it there.

  • Allegiant air is a bi presence at my local airport (KPIA Greater Peoria Intl). Recently they had an MD-80 about to depart to Las Vegas, but they got pushed back too far and got its left main gear stuck in the mud. Needless to say they were there all night with the FAA and had that part of the ramp closed for a while. Oops lol

  • nice job..

  • Hello!Wow I must say!Thats was little horrible the aircraft a Allegiant flight doesnt come down and did a hard landing! But the captain did a great job either and did a emergency landning!=)

Give 5 star for the lucky landning either=)

The passanger people and crew must was little shocked after an hard emergency landning!=(

    Greeting TheCARRE74=)

  • @TheCARRE74 thats a great plane! MD-80 series is the best

  • yes it is.

  • amazing... ultimo piloto!!!! magaling!!!! a great pilot who save many lives...

  • my mom works for allegiant and this plane flew in to peoria and she said that u could c where the plane hit the run way it was scraped up

  • bravo...

  • MD87?

  • The pilot did a good job keeping the nose up for as long as it could.

  • damn kool pilot..lol

  • Great pilot!!!!!

  • wow that was incredible filming!!! looks very nice!

  • i think that the FAA must add a regulation stating

"THE PLANE MUST BE ABLE TO COME TO COMPLETE STOP SAFELY WITH FORWARD GEAR CLOSED"

    lol

  • What airport was this?

  • sanford international airport in orlando

  • It would really suck to be on that plane.

  • good job

    bom trabalho

  • Great pilot

  • AMAZING LANDING. Note the safety crew!!!

  • MD80 DC9

    same airplane different name lol

  • Just another day at the office for the pilots. Great job.

  • fantastic job!!

  • PRO

  • Great job!

  • One hell of a pilot.

  • I say hell yeah on that landing-

  • I am flying Allegiant in May. Scary stuff.

  • Sitting in the back is loud on those planes, the front is very quite, pilots did a great job landing.

  • WOW

i was the plane that landed exactly after that.

we were on the tarmac when we landed for 30 minutes, and we didnt know why, until we drove away, ad saw all those flashing lights.

  • What Airport Was this Because There was a TCX A330-200 At 0:14 and i was wondering what Airport it was? =]

  • Orlando Sanford Intl.

  • @11GTOM I remember this one at Sanford and had just landed on 9R in a PA-28-181 and heard this on the radio!

  • Nice job!

Those planes are nose heave but

those pilots did a nice job

  • Respect to the pilots!

    Could not be done better!

  • Is that why they have a total of 1 incident in all of their flights ever.

  • oh my !!! i heard very bad stuffs about allegiant air ....... and i lived near a small airport in flotida and these aiplanes were the most loud!!

  • St. Pete Clearwater Intl.?

  • I can't distinguish wether he used lift dumpers or thrust reversers, it seems not, I guess it was to maintain the nose up the longest. (?)

  • amazing how long he kept the nose up

  • Was that the nose bouncing or controlled lifting again? man those planes have great structural integrity.

  • that wasnt at sanford airport in florida by anychance wa it? i came home from florida that day and that happened was watchin it from inside the airport

  • how do you mean, that was a classroom material emergency landing, just perfect.

  • I would say it was a very very good pilot i don't know if i was ever at his position if i could make it like him, i wish i will never be but i saw the nose bumping... That could make it worse than that. I am glad they made it safely.

  • Great Pilot, tried to keep that nose up. Nice job to him/her. Though the DC-9 still has a troubled history.

  • I think this is an MD-80.

  • No shit.

    Allegiant Air

    only fly with the MD80

  • yes, I was replying to someone who said it was a DC-9.

  • what a fucking great pilot. i think he deserves more then a well done?

  • well he was just doing his job:)

and he was keeping the passengers safe, as they are trained to do

  • Vomplimenti al pilota.... e che kulo hhehe

  • great pilots...great landing for that situation

  • You need to stop drinking vodka..

  • LoL...

  • i just flew allegiant Air great service, great airline..Watch some of my Allegiant Air videos to experience great landing of MD-80

  • Nice emergency landing. Why wasen't it more firetrucks?

  • thats sanford intl airford in florida. those fire trucks are from the airport, seminole county and oviedo.

  • they had every firetruck in the state come out.. jesus.

  • Well when you have an airliner making a landing like that, even though things more often than not turn out just fine, it's better to have too much equipment there than not enough, just in case. Wouldn't you agree?

  • yep, i agree!

2 Thumbs up for those emergency men/women

  • Simply amazing landing. Probably wasn't as easy as it looked, though.

  • Beautiful response by the emergency crews! They were there in seconds.

  • Fantastic landing, great job Allegiant pilots!

  • Emergency? What emergency? No sparks, no smoke, no flames, no injuries. What a great two-wheel landing. Kudos to THAT flight crew, and to Allegiant for obviously hiring quality pilots.

  • Flight crew did a great job. Everyone got out in one piece.

  • pretty impressive landing considering it was only on two wheels

  • Nice landing seeing the circumstances :)

  • cabin full of brown streaks...

  • i was thinking about flying to vegas with them....man thats something else....i think i would have had a freakin heart attack...

  • wowza.. if i were on that flight i'd be givin the cockpit crew more than a hug and a kiss! lol. Can't imagine how hair raising being a passenger in that circumstance must be!

  • Great pilot skills!

  • why wasnt there sparks or shards of metal?

  • Is it necessary to have all thoes fire trucks out there?

  • ....

you're kiddin right?? you have any idea how dangerous it is landing without nose-gear??

try driving your carr 100mph and lose your front tire..

  • good point.

  • true, and that plane is going quite a bit faster than 100mph, and it's very heavy.

  • imagine you getting into a really bad car accident and not receiving any medical attention.

  • same plane i flew on to vegas......smooth no problems but the cabin wiggles and creaks makin ya think its gonna fall apart at 600 mph he he

  • and hes stops right at the fire engines :)

  • what a fantastic emergency landing! Great pilot :-)

  • i heard that there are only 200 hundred pilots.kinda cool.

  • looked like a walk in the park. or a skid in the desert

  • OUCH! SORE CHIN..

  • Procedures followed, well done that man

  • MD-80s are crap and this is one reason why. An in-flight system failure just like the tail problem on an Alaska MD-83. These planes do worse on emissons, noise, cruise ceiling, along with other things that make it not as good as a 737 or A318-A321.

  • Uh, no, it's not a reason why. Mad Dogs have an enviable safety record. I worked them for years, they're sturdy airplanes and I'd fly one any day of the week. No shit a 1970s vintage airframe and engines dont do as well on noise/emissions as 1990s technology, real shocker there.

  • repda, 737's had more problems than md80's... rudder hardover, anyone??? there's a reason md80's are still in service

  • Cleanup in Aisle 1

  • that pilot is the f*ing man! he handled that big sucker like he does it every day (without the front landing gear)

  • In this suitation,no speed braks,no reserves.

  • I wish my geras down everytime.

  • Couldnt have had a better landing!

  • Better Solution:

Air Stewardess: " OK, everybody to the back of the plane now!"

    *Nose rises*

  • haha i 747 weighs well over 300 thousand pounds. that wouldn't have done shit.. excuse my french

  • Pity it's not a 747 then

  • the point was that moving 10,000 lbs of people to the rear of a 150 ton airship would've been pointless

  • haha good one

  • God I could not even imagine what it would be like to be a passenger during something like this. Cheers to the pilot!

  • maybe the landing gear couldn't lower

  • Its the large black handle in the center.

    Nice try, dipshit.

  • that pilot is shit hot!

  • amazing landing!

  • yikes!

  • They serve in and out of HTS all the time to SFB and TPA...Always full flights as well as really cheap...I see a great future ahead of them

  • Allegiant Air! I remember when they used to fly to South Tahoe. They're a pretty decent airline, even though I only got to fly with them once.

  • hehe now i seen a airplane who drivd on two wheels to

  • huhuhuhuh

  • Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Isn't that a former VALUE JET aircraft?
