  • Improv at its best.

  • If you play Smuggler in SWTOR you actually get this option at a quest xD

  • Love this scene.

  • I love his cringe after he asks "How are you?"

  • Brilliant. xD

  • *shoots fucking everything*

"We had a slight weapons malfunction."

  • Anyone else think he looks really gay when he says 'situation normal'?

  • Anyone catch the reference to this in the Back to the Future game?

  • @elwanning yep

  • Han shot first twice in the movie. What a bad ass:)

  • i thought the intercom shot first?

  • Article quote on movie:

"To ensure the scene looked genuine, Harrison Ford deliberately did not look at his lines for the comm conversation. Instead, he simply made up the dialog on the spot, ensuring an organic portrayal of the hurried, frantic scene."

  • Okay, let's build that reactor!

  • Harrison Ford is the most badass man in the world. Chuck Norris can blow me.

  • Geez stormtroopers really can't shoot straight !

  • 1:01, perfect acting gesture. I make the same face when I get into an awkward social moment. >__<

  • At first I was like WOW THE STORMTROOPERS ARE ACTUALLY WINNING!! ...and then I remembered who were really in those suits.

  • Han Solo: Master of subterfuge.

  • situation normal... how r u? :D

  • love chewy jus chillin in the back while han is talking hah

  • I first saw StarWars at the drive in with my family when I was 5. This was the part I laughed at the most!

  • I don't feel like this scene works at all. It portrays Solo as being too aggressive. No, they should edit it so that a little laser gun comes out of the intercom, shoots at Solo but narrowly misses, upon which Solo shoots at the intercom in self defense.

  • @Jonassoe I see what you did there.

  • @Jonassoe he shot it so that they wouldn't keep asking questions and if he looked aggressive shooting it, i bet your face would look the same if you shot a laser or even bullet rifle a foot away at a target.

  • @Ironlakgrafff Forgive me if I misunderstood your comment, but Jonassoe's comment was sarcastic. He was mocking the re-edit of the cantina scene where instead of Han shooting Greedo first, like in the original theatre version, Greedo shoots first and Han shoots back for self-defense.

  • @TheJordanBear i forgive you then.

  • @Jonassoe you mean like this?

    /watch?v=0VJp9QGjGmY&feature=related

  • No, in the blu-ray version, all guns and pistols are replaced by walkie-talkies.

  • @vmrulez2 If you think this then WHY did you watch it?

  • @vmrulez2 you 're gay

  • You'd think that Han would have been able to think of a better thing to say...he DID used to work for the Empire

  • @jtessexpress Emphasis on "used". He "used" to work for the Empire. There's probably a good reason he doesn't, and part of it may be his skills at subterfuge.

  • Would have been epic if the intercom guy was like "oh, I'm alright, thanks..."

  • rofl ... err how are you? :)

  • I heard that in the Blue Ray version, the intercom shoots at Han first.

  • DON WORRY MEESHELL I DUN CARE IF YOU ARE DUMB EXPIRED COCONUT I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY U AR STILL BEAUTIFOOL IN MY EYES I WILL ACCEPT YOU FOR THE COCONUT YOO ARE BOOTIFAL YOU CAN BE MY DUMB EXPIRED COCONUT XOXOXOXOXO

  • And that's why Harrison Ford will always be a badass.

  • true story, Harrison Ford deliberately did not look at his lines for the comm conversation. Instead, he simply made up the dialog on the spot,

  • @beaups10 thats an extremely well done improvisation imust say

  • i believe there's a reference to this in the Back To The Future game lol

  • @ThePonko92 There is, I am almost positive it's when. ((Spoilers)) Marty is locked up in the Citizen Plus program and he uses the intercom.

  • @xxxslash616xxx i know i got the demerits for it ;) lol i laughed so hard

  • Just found out on stumble upon, Harrisson Ford deliberately didn't look at his lines so he could capture the frenzied, panicky dialouge. He did some serious improv - and nailed it.

  • Found this somewhere online about this scene:

"To ensure the scene looked genuine, Harrison Ford deliberately did not look at his lines for the comm conversation. Instead, he simply made up the dialog on the spot, ensuring an organic portrayal of the hurried, frantic scene."

  • @AdNaDnRiEeWlS Good choice, Ford. Good choice.

  • His delivery of the line is just so perfect...

  • Han sounds kind of like a gay guy when he says "situation normal". 0:49

  • Wait, didn't the intercom shoot first?

  • if anyone wants to know what the specific reference in new vegas is. Its when you have to save the president. and go up in the tower to kill the legion assassin you can report it in on the radio and the guy says "Whats going on up there" and you say "um were fine up here thank you, how are you?"

  • I agree, it was a boring conversation anyway...

  • That is the deepest hole you could dig yourself, Han.

  • 0:43 He's totally fabulous when he takes of his helmet.

  • One of my all time favourite movie scenes

  • They MUST train their Imperial personnel to have bad accuracy.

  • lol

    How are you? XD

  • Shelia, can you get me the plans to Death Star?

  • Referenced in Paul lol

  • Lame-ass 'remasturd' version edits out the blaster bolts hitting the officers.

    We're sending a squad.

  • This was referenced in Back to the Future: Episode 3 Citizen Brown. =D

  • @Jettix777 Totally hehe. Laughed when I completed it earlier today :) Just had to see this video.

  • How are you?

    Epic!

  • bad reference to this in PAUL, but it still made me laugh tbh

  • I just love how awkward he is, "We're fine..we're all fine, here..now...thank you...how're you?"

  • if I remember right..doesnt the commentary on the remastered dvd of A New Hope say Harrison forgot his lines in this scene towards the end and ab libbed?

  • @JonInCCTX He just didn't read the script for that part, so his lines here are all made up on the spot to add to the air of franticness one might feel in that situation.

  • Definitely the funniest line ever, that "How're you?" at the end was fuckin hilarious. I was watching this the other day and just cracked up

  • There's a reference to this in fallout new vegas, which happens to also have a indiana jones reference

  • @hattrickster33 there is also a reference to this in dead rising 2 case west dlc lol.

  • @hattrickster33 there are actually a lot of movie references in that game, like monty python, and star trek

  • @theRBninja Yea its pretty awesome:D

  • @hattrickster33 Fallout 1 also, but I don't remember exactly where.

  • @Nibelungenherr1876 It's in Fallout 2. When you are in the Gecko Nuclear Power Plant. If you find the right terminal (near the reactor core) and have good enough computer skills you get to talk to an Enclave soldier who is stationed on the Oil Rig. He then says that he will put a trace on you, and eventually sends a vertibird over and kills most of the people at the plant.

  • @hattrickster33

An Indy reference? and I missed it?! What happened

  • @Thisistheman91 Not from the old movies (unfortunately). There's a reference to the scene in the 4th movie where he jumps in a fridge to avoid getting vaporized by a nuke.

  • The lack of harrison ford is the only reason, that the new films aren't as good as the old ones. IMO jar jar is the worst character ever!

  • Haha, I love this scene

and quit arguing, you all sound like dumbasses

  • I luv Han Solo <3

  • In German it sounds better. Really better. Please watch in German.

    Thanks.

  • @romas1995 Not all Germans were Nazis. Now, none of them are. Don't be such a bigot who lives in the past.

  • @SuperGoodPoint agreed he's a bigot but zero nazis? ever heard of the neonazi's they're in the U.S. too.

  • Classic and epic. :D Ford is the man.

  • Harrison Ford at his best... love this scene...

  • Both Han and Luke shot out the security cameras.

  • -LOOK OUT HE'S LOOSE!

    -HE'LL TEAR US ALL APART!

-I'LL GET HIM! (Shoots imperial officer).

Took me ages to discover that dialog, but damn do I love it!

  • I love how he adds "How're you?" to the end of his statement, LOL. One of the funniest lines in all the movies.

  • @AcePilot199 - The best is how he winces after he asks, "how are you?"

  • @AcePilot199 And then the look he gives after saying it. :D

  • YESSSSSSSSSSS
