This version was probably created around 1971; the 1953 logo didn't have a (C) symbol a the bottom-right until the early 70s. Does anyone know what film this was taken from?
This "Fox Fanfare" was used from the 1950's all the way up to 1980. Composer John Williams composed a new version of the fanfare that debutted from the release of "The Empire Strikes Back." The Williams' version was used until 1994 when the Fox logo was redesigned with CGI and the fanfare was rescored again but using Williams' style completely.
This is the very old Three-Strip Technicolor version of the Fox logo and fanfare. The black and white logo is almost the same, except the "®" symbol is absent.
Dropped in 1954. Resurrected occasionally, when Fox distributed a "flat" film which was produced by others.
Taken from "The Sound of Music" (1965)

1) the slanted zero was standard and 2) this is actually from the late 70s because of the (r) logo just below the structure

Didn't Star Wars Have This Logo?
Sizzleboy11 1 year ago
@Sizzleboy11 It used to. So did THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. You can find them only in the original release versions.

@darkpitch1 This fanfare started in 1935 when TCF was formed after the FOX Films / 20th Century Pictures merger

This came from 1950, not 1978. This variant of Fox looks older than that.
