Just out of curiosity, have you listened to the album? I don't wanna be that guy who starts one of those dumb youtube fights, but I think this clip misrepresents them with regards to their political content. This album isn't so much a lash at the religious right so much as personal qualms with a society that places so much importance on religion without examining it.
the only bit of punk rock/indie knowledge this so-called reporter has goes as far as MTV's slightly edgy attention it gives to the overall rock genre which is basically green day and thermals. so it's obvious why he would think that when punks go political, they sound stupid....Green Day.
