I love Lily's version, but you will notice in a couple of them she gestures (in this one quite blatantly) of difficulty singing. In fact, the parts in which she indicated difficulty are different parts of the song. Thus I would be hard-pressed to attribute the complexity of the song to the hiatus. She is very foolish for smoking when that's happening (surely smoking doesn't help). If she doesn't stop for herself than she ought to for her listeners.
