This is Modern Melodic Death with Metalcore influences guy. It's different of classic Melodeath.

CoB? Kalmah? Arch Enemy?? WTF! The two first bands are Power Metal with hight pitched vocals and a lot of keyboards for the melodies. That's only Melodic Power. Arche Enemey maybe is Melodeath but has a lot of Thrash influences.

True Melodic Death Metal is old In Flames, At The Gates, Dark Traquillityt, Gates of Ishtar, Dimension Zero, Unanimated.

Belive me, I'm a crazy fan of Melodeath :)

I'm sorry man but one of the tennars from power metal are melodic voices, gutural doesn't have anything to do there. CoB and Kalmah both have very gutural voices (maybe CoB in latest albums not that mutch), how can you say they're power metal ??? WTF ??? the other bands you say yes, those are other examples of a more dark and earlier type of melodeath, but calling this "modern" is hilarious !!

Mmm CoB and Kalmah has gutural voices, but for me, they only makes Power Metal with growls and hight pitched vocals and a lot of melodic keyboards. The Melodic Death has the melodies in the guitar not in the keyboard.

I don't know if it's hilarious but really this is another type of Melodeath and many sites, people and bands use the term.

And this is Melodic Deathmetal, as indicated by the heavy growls, heavy and melodic riffs, with the subtle vocal underlays.

Also, all those bands you posted are quite possibly the most mainstream melodeath bands. I bet you don't know anymore on top of that without googling.
