@773steve To be specific, it is actually a "Trust", to which there exists the Creator / Grantor, the res, the Beneficiary, and the Trustee.
It is the trustee who is bound in duty to serve under the law according to the Grantor for the benefit of the Beneficiary.
They usually get you (with your awareness) to take the role as trustee, at which time they define the law as grantor and stand as beneficiary to that trust.
