That's really cool! I like the no-fuss way you carved out the body and attached everything. I will try some of these techniques to make a toy for my plane-obsessed toddler (something slightly more child-proof than this of course!!). I'm glad you stained it instead of painting. Just one gripe though - all that zooming and stuff at the end of the video made me feel sick!!! It'd be real good if you used still images instead! People want to see your wood work, not your video work! =)
some people are asswholes, if you didnt like it why did you watch the whole dam thing alright dont put otheres down on incredble work you could never produce wildmetal16
a true craftsman the previous coment below mine what a twat, he probably could not even build a plastic model but hey hey what would youtube be without little pricks. keep up the good work excellent craftsman
Hey, i made a model plane like that but it was much smaller. i used the same procedure that you did. I'm gonna finish it this summer and start working on another. Thanks to this video that i saw a year ago, i wouldn't have pulled out my dad's dremel tool too and started carving... Thanks
dude, i made one like that and all i needed was a band saw (to cut out main shape) and a Dremel Tool (to carve out the rest. The plane is very nice an i plane on finishing it this summer.
Cant say i have a interest in model airplanes. But I will always have respect for a fellow wood craftsman. Beautiful work. Though im sure model airplanes isnt the only thing you can make out of wood
yeah,, Pine for the body,, and poplar for the wings and flaps. if I use pine for wings,, chances are they may curve and bend overtime. the base however is solid oak.. but I didnt carve the base.. it is routed and machined and cut
if you color those, they're ganna look even better!!!!!!!!!! it stilll looks great! 500000000000000 stars from Canada! nice video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are truely gifted.. use it wisely!
man, you are gifted but i suggest if you could use other materials that is safer to manipulate. like for example a cardboard and a paper. you know I've done it several times. still you can have a fantastic result...
meh its nothin, just makin sure u dont like kill urself ;) ur truly gifted i could never do this. meh its at 0:47-0:57 if u let the knife slip u couldve cut ur thumb in half
