If you are familiar with the keyboardsettings as in previous versions of Blender, you can change them easely in the userpreferencestab "input". Just do not forget to press CTRL U to keep your settings.

i have a problem when i place objects they are like nothing just nothing is there when i pressed n they where at location 1#.2 in all x y and z i entered 0.00 in them and the object was just an nothing like only these arrows to drag arounsd but nothing i cant continue my game now i have the same prob in 1.49b and 2.5a

Alt + Left mouse button doesn't allow me to use the "user controlled camera" (forgot what it is actually called) in 2.5 beta, it worked in the last version I had (the one you used in your first tutorial). Any help?

Hi, I see Super3Boy tutorials appear often when searching for Blender tutorials. Most of the time, I'm wanting something specific that the video titles and brief descriptions only guide me toward, and I don't have the time to scroll through every video (that might or might not provide the solution I seek) to see what the turtorial is about. for some reason i can't use the "alt" key navigate around an object, or "shift-alt" keys to navigate around while holding the left mouse click on 2.5. It works fine on 2.49 and other alt commands work fine on 2.5 (like "alt-a"). My left mouse click also works fine on 2.5 when changing the 3d cursor. any one have any idea wtf is wrong? lol

I don't think you should even try to mess with that stuff without a middle mouse button... though if you're that desperate you can edit the keyboard and mouse mapping in the options menu...

You have to start somewhere. And trust me the sooner you learn the basicsit the better. Blender isn't that hard to learn and is very intuitive. I use Maya 2009 in college and I prefer Blender.

Hello super3boy. Thanks for this video. One question if you could help me with is I'm still using 2.49b, should I stick with it or make the leap to 2.50? I've gotten used to the shortcut keys in 2.49 so that would be my main concern is relearning different ones. Thanks and keep them coming!

blender 2.5 has some keyboard shortcuts different but most the same. you can always use the settings to put the keyboard shortcuts like in 2.49b. i recommend switching now as it will be easier to get used to them and sooner or later you will still need to switch

You've got a point. I dual boot Windows and Linux so I might keep 2.49 on Slackware and update to 2.50 then on the Windows side.

Alpha 1 crashes easly.. Alpha 0 crashed just once..because I setted too high values.. with Alpha 1, just after rendering *smiles*
