@dudshik let's be more realistic, like in sports, a basketball/soccer team, requires players who can play( just like singing), everyone knows the basics. and being the face is just like being a captain, yes it is your responsibility but does that means that being the captain gives you lesser time on court to prove your abilities just because people you are more well known to others? so i mean being the face is well.. her responsibility and in another way a bonus.

@dudshik pretty true about the game thing. but not about the venturing into solo part.. it's best if all of them can sing really well, but that doesnt mean that they will definitely go solo, if they all go solo then what about snsd? fans want them as a whole, without 9, no matter how successful one gets, is still nothing. they can all sing well and all get equal parts, no problem with that right?

@dudshik i understand where you are coming from. i also agree that everyone should be given equal opprtunities. but the problem here is that she isnt given enough verse. For her dramas, i must say she earned it herself, there are so many choices, why did they choose her instead of the other members? Being placed upfront is probably cause she's good at it or that is what they think is the best arrangement. And having more screentime is just an add on bonus, for being the face. All but singing?

@ragingplanets sadly yes. yoona's voice is very crisp and clear. i like that as much as i love tiffany's soulful husky voice. so i am personally looking forward to seeing her have more lines. but as i said earlier, each member has a role to play. she is the banner, the face. so her job is to advertise the entire group. if anything, she has the biggest responsibility because all of her actions, in and/or out of snsd, will reflect the entire group because she is their representative.

the job of the face is to be seen. so having more screentime for her is not a bonus, but a necessity. she is placed up front because she has a different charisma when pulling off the dance steps. she is not the best dancer in the group, but it's a combination of the way she swags and the way she locks your vision into her eyes only that makes her being front and center a terribly spellbinding strategy. she and SM know that...and so they exploit it to their advantage.

@ragingplanets think of it in the same way you'd build your team in ragnarok, or other multiplayer war games...you can't have a group composed of purely mages...you need a healthy mix of knights, archers, dancers, priests, healers, etc. to maximize the potential of each member. so same thing with snsd. if they were all such awesome singers they'd probably venture into making solos all too soon because there's just not enough lines for the to showcase their awesome vocals.

hahaha! poor girl, she dont have much lines compared to the other girls. i dont think, just because being the face of snsd she's receiving enough attention, that's why they reduced her solo verse. that's absurd... worst reason i'd ever heard.. in my opinion, everyone in snsd can sing, but the problem is just whether they are given enough opportunity to prove to others.. the face of snsd is totally another issue man.. so wasted cause i think she's got great singing abilities.. nice voice too!

@ragingplanets it's a given that all members can sing, because that's the whole point of making the cut and getting into snsd. being the face of the group IS an issue. that's the role yoona primarily plays. if she were given more lines, plus she has her dramas, plus she has a lot of screentime in the mv's, plus she often is placed up front during the dance segments of their songs, then that would be a total imbalance for the other members. i like her, but that's just how things are.

wow she really is good. But she doesn't get many lines, in fact I read somewhere that in many of the popular songs she only sings for about 10 seconds. I know the other girls have good voices but not many people know Yoona does due to the fact that she barely sings. So I think out of all the members she is the one that needs more parts.
