Amtrak train arrives in Indianapolis

ah crap. the only thing good in indianapolis that is train related is the indiana transportation museum and the state fiar train. there going to take down old nkp line and make it a gay commuter service. you know how much blood sweat and tear went into making and taking care of it.

I think its a crying shame with its location that Indianapolis only has 2 trains a day in amtrak service

Any idea how far the Indianapolis 500 race is away from the Amtrak station if I ride the Cardinal up there to watch that race for the first time.

It would be quite a hike from Amtrak station to the Indy 500--about 6 miles (or 17 minutes driving)--according to Google Maps.

Of course, you could probably locate a shuttle to the racetrack from downtown Indy by searching the web.

Funny The cafe car had just lights on

thats because the people in the train r sleep and when there hungry well the cafe car is always open exept when it leaves a union station it closes for an hour then opens back up.
