Actually, C&C was going to be a medieval/fantasy based strategy game until the designers were influenced by the Gulf War.

From there they decided to turn it into a modern-day based one instead.

to tell u the truth, the main reason i bought C&C in 1995, i was probably in primary 5, was because i saw a friend played it for a while at a game shop and saw the most awesome thing, watching the MCV squishing an infantry.

A year and a half later, as a graduating present from primary school, i got a Sega Saturn and asked for the Two Disc C&C.

I played 15 hours straight, coz on one mission, i was in a stalemate for 6 hours lol...

The first thing giving EA credit. EA is made the C&C genre a fucking dissaster. Westwood was the best but EA fucked it up. Made it very commercial. And it destroyed C&C. Now they come with RED Alert 3. Which is an adapted C&C 3. Just the same but different units. It simply sucks!
