This is the worst opening. I thought it was created by a poster, in which case it would have been really good. But not good if it was the real thing. I didn't watch GL during this period and never saw this opening.
..lol..funny. but I always thought Reva looked her best in this opening...actaully that year....she looked really sexy. Seemed like she had lost a few pounds and her hair was long.
In hindsight...not that bad, although I did not like the "then" practice of removing actors (mostly female) when they were taken off contract and moved to recurring. By the end, you would watch this opening and never know that Beth, Blake, Alex, Lillian, Mel, and so on were even still on the show.
The music that runs from :20 to :25 is *identical* to the last five seconds of the Jeffrey Osborne Loving theme.
The overall concept behind this opening is good (I like how the first scene "slides" into view at the end), but the execution is mediocre. Who picked that font?
I'd give the music a B+ and the graphics a C- or D.
This really doesn't seem like a bad opening, especially when you consider the current "find your light" one. It just lacks more creativity. It reminds me of the 1991 to 2002 version. It does lack a background, probably more important a signature light house with light effects..
i actually kinda liked this opening. compared to the garbage they have now(the whole spoken word sentimental thing was nice for a few weeks, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH). i wish they'd jusr recycle the theme from the 80's or the one from the early-mid 90's. those were by far the best themes the show ever had. i just HATE the current theme sooooooooooo much.
this opening really really sucked, and it was cheap. the 2002 opening was the best they ever had.

I liked the music of this, however the visuals to me were terrible. Looked like someone threw that part together in 5 mins.

Aside from the theme song, the worst and cheapest soap opening of all time. It shouldn't have even ran two years.
