I'm in Open D (DADF#AD). It is the Goldtone Solid Mahogany edition. In my opinion, it is better to get the Goldtone because it's cheaper and still sounds good. If I continue playing and get to a good level, I will step up and buy a Koa. If you are just starting out though, a Goldtone will work great. I was thinking of putting some tutorials up for the weiss. What do you think?
Hell yeah bro go for it! I think his stuff is fairly easy to play once you learn it but it's so fun and relaxing, but the real trouble comes when you want to sing and play at the same time. Is it hard to play lap steel and sing or about the same as guitar?

it's a Goldtone weissenborn, about $700 i guess. you can search them on google. great guitar for the price!!
