  • why so serious?

  • how much would one of these cost nowadays ?

  • @darraghtank not much its a tiny gutless little bike, enthusiasts go after the bigger stuff

  • I had one of these when I was 14. I saw just the rolling frame in someone's back yard. I went to the front of the house and asked if they wanted to sell it. The woman who answered the door said, come back later when my husband is in. I came back and he said you can have it. I went into the yard with him and he opened the shed, there in three boxes was the complete rest of the bike in bits. I got a C15 workshop manual and completely rebult it. Didn't cost me a penny. Had it for years.

  • i dunno if anyone else finds this halarious!...but still honestly awesome bike

  • Very Nice bike. My SS80 is a 1961 too. I bought it in in a sorry state last year and i have just got it back on the road for the first time in 30 years. I noticed the correct six point Star decals on the oil tank of your bike. Are they originals or replacements? I could do with a pair if you know were they are available. Thanks.

  • they were trying to pitch this crap against ultra modern jap 250s

  • Nice bike, mint condition

  • is that a 63?

  • u broke the kickstart mecinism yet? rapid kicking dont do any good to it

  • @denty001 Fuckin' too right . Some people dont know how to treat the old brits . If he wanted something to abuse he should've got a jap .

  • @denty001 Don't I know it..... tried to get mine going after a breakdown, mechanism didn't engage and smacked my foot on the ground...... Felt like I broke my kneecap. The kickstart return spring broke as well. All sorted and working OK again now......

  • Yay! He'd only break the kick start cotter pin/taper pin,if he'd fitted a modern chinese made piece of shit! The modern ones the nut either strips the thraed or oulls the threaded section clean off when tightened or break later!A genuine brit one usually lasts as long as the bike, the 1970's vintage one fitted to the triumph tr6p I last built hasnt broken yet! Brit pins are not usually bright chrome/nickel plated, but dull grey zinc, thats how to tell them apart, thread is 7/16 unf instead of 8mm too

  • Have you broke the cotter pin in the kick start leaver yet?
