  • Dear friend,

You see most of the real valuable thousands years old Persian traditional music has NO thumping rhythm. It is mostly played in free-rhythm, in waves not pounding. That type of music is the most spiritual and brings one closer to diety like a long alap in Indian music and the azan or Islamic prayer.

  • i always wonder how come good iranian musicians (or even Ostad-s) can sit and play with so a poor rythmic ! This is incredible ! Just refer to indian tradition to understand what i write.

  • Middle Eastern, Persian, and Turkish music is not harmonic; it is melodic, indeed.

  • i'm so happy to see this rare video of great master razavi. He had high technic and strong memory.
