I've seen lots and lots of films (and I'm not talking trashy Hollywood fare, I usually watch lots of foreign films or 'art films', etc)...........and hands down, this is one of the best movies I've watched ever. Do yourself a favour and see it.
Hey dude, i talking with CPCChina (and other fucking Chinese who r making like this guys way ), wake up your confusing. Mongolians have been dominated Chinese over 150 years during the YUAN empire. King palace(or prohibited palace) is build by our ancestor Khubilai and than 300 years again (your ancestors were served for us) which is nowdays on Tainmen square. I don't want to be bend on someone's ear. read the your county history, dude. FIRST STUDY THAN TALK, OK!!! If u can't find i can help u
@CPCChina Mongolia is not and will NEVER be a part of China, just as Tibet is a country on it's own. don't believe everything the Communist Party tells you dude...
@Fnatic2010 Let both your minds rest in natural great peace. Country borders are mind made. There are no countries really, but just one land that mans mind called "earth" which is seprated by water that mind called sea. One people, one land, one peace, one love, one consciousness. Why do we make divisions?? Why do we need seperation? Why do you both need this "you & us" syndrome that you suffer from? We're all human beings experiencing a very unique existance on this floating earth ball in space
i am an architecture student because i love how it connects the spiritual world with the material one through harmony. these people however live their whole lives as nomads and manage to live in harmony with the world on all its levels. i am really happy i came across this movie.
@silhuetto i get tears in my eyes every time i see this movie, or that other one by the same director, "Story of the Weeping Camel". these people REALLY know what life is about, something that we here in the West have almost totally forgotten....
@DancesWithLlamas that's actually good! i guess it touched a part in you that hasn't been touched for years, a part that remembers what life was all about... like your name, by the way :-) mine means Nightraven (in case you wondered)

Seriously, these are brilliant children; cleaver and well rounded intelligent to the core of their hearts. I wish them the best in life and great success. They have inspired me greatly; a physics student.
Does anyone know where i can find just the music video or the music for this Cave of the yellow dog. I saw it all the time on the classical channel on sky but i don't see it any more and i can't find it. Only the movie.
I really wanna see this movie but in Latin America is impossible to find so I might be buying it through internet, does anyone know where I can find the cheapest price for this item? thnx
My DVD version has slightly different subtitles, I think. Still, a beautifully filmed movie. I bought this, and the Weeping Camel as well, for my Mongol language practise recently. I'm not sure which I prefer, because they are both brilliant.
as a dunneza hunter from the boreal lands in northeastern bc, it shares similiarities to our cultural teachings, i enjoyed this and look forward to more..
You can borrow this great movie from the library, if you can't find a place to rent it.
