Not really. It does look like the beginnings of a dirty "head shot" hit but you see it's neither a head shot nor a push from behind into boards which is so rampant in today's game. I'm surprised it hasn't made a player paraplegic already with all the dirty hits. Tie up a player in the boards but don't go shoving them from behind. I think it will be hard to correct since this type of play is mostly from the newer generation players who learned it in juniors.

Anyways, my point was they'd probably call it now because they overcall everything these days. I watch vintage games and they let the players sort these things out.

Dino just minding his own business and some Maple Geek blindsides the poor guy. Everyone brings up the little stick swinging incident and they forget about what Dino had to put up with every night. By the way, Dino had those dives down perfect! They were famous. The little skate kick at the end was what put the other player in the box 99% of the time. Other teams and fans just hated Dino, but we loved him in Minny.
