Lets be realistic.. Watching a 6min video that only shows tex you can read in one minute is useless, I really disapprove Van Sant's methods..

It is true that it's not the easiest to watch, with no classical story but an atmosphere that is supposed to express a silent story.

Gus Van Sant just tried to make people feel the frightening and cold blood gap which exists between carefree Californian skaters (the actors really didn't even react or care when we explained to them the context of the short film) and childhood reality in the poorest countries. It may seems simple only if we consider it can't change. Gus was one of these children.

Dieser Film ist so Flach wie eine Pflunder!

Was sagt der Film schon aus?

Woher nimmt er seine Zahlen?

Wie kommt es zu dem was der Film darstellt?

Die Art der Filmherstellung war teuer und aufwändig, die Ressourcen die dabei verbraucht wurden sind leider -wie ich finde- nicht gut ausgegeben worden um ausstehende Dringlichkeit, Sinn und Zweck des Films richtig rüber zubringen.

On sent Gus Van Sant derrière la caméra qui veut faire passer le message... Ca m'a foutu un gros froid dans le dos en tout cas. On se rend pas compte mais quand on lit ça : "One child will die from the lack of clean water in the time it takes you to read this sentence. And another will die in 20 seconds" ...
