@Kingh9rN he showed on alternate current cause westinghouse was trying to make it popular. Edison = direct current and westinghouse = alternate current.
Edisons problem was that direct current was not transportable at long distances cause he couldnt transformate. look for "Stromkrieg" or "war of currents"

All of you are being ridiculous. The elephant *along with other animals* were up for execution anyways because they have killed humans. The elephant killed 3 handlers, and only one was shown to be abusive. Usually elephants are hooked to a crane, and then lifted off the ground to be hung, Edison executed the animal using alternating current. He killed the animal in the same means was considered most human to kill humans at the time. Also, it was fed cyanide carrots to ensure it died.
