  • Yanni???

  • @roeb64 yes!! :-)

  • This programme was a lot of shite.

Was entirely fictional, despite having some scientists opinions.

They could have at least made it funny.

  • Chutulu everywhere!!!!

  • my favourites were the kilakara & the creptiles (i think that's how there spelled)

  • The music makes me want to punch sound dead square in the stomach

  • It's possible but that's really far into the future because of that much evolution

  • what music is being played at the beginning

  • oh we're gonna start from the dinosaurs again.. nice

  • the background music is Yanni's, One of the worst musicians EVER...! Always asures to be surrounded by real and much better musicians than him, and pretending he's good, or faking he's playing when he's only touching some other notes or one or two chords. Music not too elaborated ( as the one of this video) without a real musical structure, as easy to play, and made easier by a synthesizer that does almost all.

  • Amazing ! As everyone can see, earth here looks much better than the time when human lived ! Great video !

  • You forgot one detail: the Toraton descends from the turtles.

  • Most of these are laughable...

  • thats cool squid....

  • Land octopi? I think not. We can't allow such monstrosities of nature to be... everyone who reads this, immediately change the oil in your car and dump it into the nearest body of water!

  • @MrLotharofhillpeople

    Troll in the dungeon.

  • Pokemon would be better like this and with better dialog, but ash has been teen for years WTF at least change his age

  • y estos pokemons chafas que?

  • this song is so awesome , pliz tell me the name of the song :)

  • @kakarot17 "looking glass"

  • @kakarot17 faggot

  • i dare!! thank you very much!!!!!

  • GOTTA CATCH'EM ALL!!!

    NEW POKEMON!!!

    future version!

  • They are Dougal Dixon`s ideas

  • They are Dougal Dixon`s ideas

  • this is buteiful!!!! not the giant octipus thoe

  • this is buteiful!!!!

  • Whoa Wait, WTF!? Is this? I was Loooking for MW2 Cheats wth...........

  • very very good

  • @Lipejaca thanks!!! :-)

  • 1:41 Octorock?

  • Ridiculous. Maybe in 100 million years,... but not any time before that.

  • @johnhall77 episode 2 is 100 million years in the future and episode 3 is 200 million years in the future

  • 4:00 what happens when a duck and a chikin will mate, duck+chinking = duck chiking!

  • A nice homage to a very good video series, I always thought.

  • Why would we not return though?

  • OMG! where is the little spider thing tht runs really really fast its so HILLARIOUS when it starts running and jjumping at the same time

  • @ 3:41 " A wild LATIOS appears!"

  • hifriend thnx for this video,....but i think that more evolution of animals may not be possible for evolution becauese the life of the earth is short and have not enough time fo evolution......but who knows it may be possible any way awsome video..

  • galap turtles are big because they're slow. Anything like a turtle that grows that big would be virtually stationary all life long.

  • Lol my dad really likes this music..........And I do too...Um...I LOVE THE FUTURE IS WILD!

  • Just saw the end credits lol thanks.

  • @Bzzzz247 :-) thanks!

  • Omg where is that music from? I've heard it before and it's driving me crazy! Lol great vid btw

  • Literally flying fish?

    Fuck off :L

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT how do crustations live out of the water lamaro plz awnser me this dos'nt make sense

  • @mo0nme

According the program, more than 100 million years of evolution after present day, it is time enough for octopus to change in something like this. The way it happened is in an analogue way fishes got out the water and "became" reptiles, i guess.

    regards,

  • @mo0nme You do know that pillbugs are actually crustaceans, right?

  • @mo0nme Crustaceans can survive outside water as long as their gills are dry.

  • look from 3:00 to 3:03 wat does it look like lol u have to think to get it right

  • Is there a limit to how big creatures can get?

  • @Spieldamelenium According to physics laws, yes, there is a limit that animals like us can grow. I do not know which size it is, peharps somebody could wirte it here.

    regards,

  • Swampuses are the best.

  • @gckbowers411 I agree :-)

  • wow

i've only saw the cartoon version on discovery kids

    but this is way better

    good job again :-)

  • @4nxchangebari thanks!

  • 14 people are creationists

  • u jst no tht in 50 years time, people r gna luk at this and laff... luk at space 1999 for example... i dnt think any1 can predict the future, no matter how gd they make it sound.

  • this is a really nice montage. Good music choice.

  • @FlyTheObserver thanks!!

  • It sure would be nice if the terrorbirds (think Carakiller) came back.

I mean, they lived from the time when the dinosaurs went extinct, to just about the time humans appeared.

They surely would be able to flourish now, or in the future, too (unless we destroy the planet).

  • There's something disturbing about future videos like this, you just have an uneasy feeling that something super-futuristic is still lurking around somewhere on the planet and things feel generally unfamiliar.

  • the flish look like messed up flying fish witch probably are messed up

  • I did not like this documentary very much. The speculation was way too wild and the creators of this show were lazy with regards to explanations. What really got to me at the time was the premise of the show was what would happen if humans suddenly dissapeared at that very moment... and then they said that whales (all of them) went extinct due to man. Just lousy science...

  • 3:48 holy crap it's latios!

  • NOSTALGIA

  • is it possible that these creatures exist because man fiddled with genes, and that they are indeed part human

  • im srry discovery but U AINT GOD U CANT SEE THE FUTURE

  • @Jakusaan Discovery channel does not claim to see the future. They simply theorized what future animals would look like based on previous known evolutionary patterns. Yes, I know the instinctual aversion some folks have to the word "Evolution", but it has happened, it is happening now, and will continue to happen. Evolution does not, contrary to views expressed from pulpits, mean that God does not exist. Faith is faith; you have it or you don't.

  • Isn't Technology Great? It can do documentaries on things that don't even exist yet.

  • sure.... amazing!

  • @lemaro1977 ..... was that sarcasm?

  • @cryformurderplz

    no!!!

  • @lemaro1977 oH OK :o

  • @cryformurderplz Thing is none of this ever will exist...It's completely made up by us and will always stay at that.

  • @KrossPoison1 We don't know for sure... Scientists have researches for years, so we have no proof against or with them ;)

  • Awsome!

  • A lot of things are just funny imagination. The air on Earth is no longer the same since millions of years, that why during this old times, spiders or whatever small you want, used to be as big as a desk or more.

  • i wonder where all the evolved humans are in this vid?

  • @Jaekiss1 there is no humans in original version. They were extinct. In the discovery channel version, they left the planet and sent probes to study earth.

  • @lemaro1977 0_0

  • @Jaekiss1 lol... humans don't have much time left on earth, little fella... we're already starting to destruct and it's only 2010. If humans have any future at all, it won't be on earth.

  • @OneLazyNinja actually my theory prooves that if we don't blow our selfs up with an endless nuke war the only thing we have to worry about is trees and alaska and hawaii hanging out together but thats just my theory vote up if you agree :D

  • After Extinction of human....for sure

  • the future is unpridictabel with a single variable a completly difrent ecosystem can emerge there is a constant war between species and the predictabilaty of witch species will win is like flipping a coin there could be a earthquake thatll isolate a platue and turn it to a island where species on that island will compete within themselves changing the cousre of eveloution the if earth changes its a new game there can be a flood so species compete for fish. thus unpredictability

  • i hate the bible.

  • the bird looks friggin retarded.

  • thumbs upp if you want a giant turtle or octopus/elephant as a pet =D

  • Comment removed

  • @noisedownloader im sorry you hate turtles =/

  • @walkonpyro perhaps your'e not an idiot, your coment it is...!

  • Fish+Bird=Flish

  • @MagnitudePerson Wow. Smart One. Glad you could figure that out for all to see.

  • la anturaleza es lo unico que se adapta y sobrevivira a los cambios.

  • Will our sun survive millions of years from now?. If yes when will its energy be spent?

  • @Mayer200 the sun has about 4 billion years left. dont worry!

  • for some people is this strange but it can be,because there are also strange animals in our time if we were caveman we also don't believe there were mammals in the ocean or animals without skeleton.I saw al the episodes of future is wild,i think it's true!

  • What year it suppost to be on this video?

  • @stopmotiontoys

5, 100 or 200 million years in the futture. See description.

  • dude dinosouars got extinct billions of years ago

  • @BlackLabelSociety234 millions to be precise but birds are technically a form of dinosaur even if vastly evolved from they're predecessors

  • @BlackLabelSociety234 millions, my friend. not billions.

  • @BlackLabelSociety234 Do you have a brain?? I am a paleontologist, and I know for a fact that THOSE creatures are not related to dinosaurs in any way!!

dafydd93 and glitcheroftime are entirely correct.

  • @warriorKatKarl .. well sorry for not knowing fuck...

  • Song...IS....ANNOYING!!!! its the same beat over and over!!!!! GWAH!!

  • Blue bird = Articuno

  • there are pokemon among us O.o

  • wats the name of this track???? sumbody please tell me im dyin to know the artist

  • @nebecanezzer

    Yanni, song "Looking glass"

  • @ArePenguinsAwesome

Yeah but that would have to be some mass extinction. And in the Future Is Wild, some rat-sized mammals do survive one of the mass extinctions but die out through competition, which I think is far-fetched.

  • good good video

    thx to u too xD

  • My family's got this series on video. It's really interesting and weird. How awesome are those giant tortoise things? The largest animals to ever walk the earth! :D

  • Future Is Wild was a good 'documentary' but it was way too unscientific for me. And I love speculative biology but this was just too much. ALL mammals going extinct? If a cataclysm happened then small mammals like shrews & rodents would rise up to replace the larger mammals. And large predatory birds would (in case of cataclysm) rise up again, but once more they will be out-competed by mammals who are better fit for land based on their skeleton structure.

  • @FlashVirus

I would like to say that chances are that mammals WILL go extinct very soon. Think about this; mammals today (giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and hippos, for example), have only a few species left today, yet in the past there were several different species in different parts of the world. So you see, mammals are the ones to get extinct more quickly than others because sometimes a majority of mammals go extinct because they had adapted too much.

  • @professordino1994 But right now's climate is the coldest ever in millions of years, so mammals will just regain back to their former glory once humanity is no longer on Earth. If it became hotter they'd decline but not go extinct. I will reply to you again with a way I devised mammals go extinct, but too much for 1 post.

  • @professordino1994 A way I made for mammals to go extinct: First a period of global rain forests which the mammals decline because they don't grow big in rain forests, then a period of global dryness (while still hot) and they decline even more because of bad water conservation and most of the remaining ones were adapted for trees, then a mass extinction kills off the few remaining mammals. Probably won't happen till Pangea II.

  • @LionHeart9619

0__o wow...that's very interesting! I mean it! By the way, I've made up some mass extinctions of my own in the future. Wanna hear them?

  • @LionHeart9619

Well, 10 million years in the future, a major climate shift appears; it's an extinction event that might last for 90 million years, as the equator warms up slowly, but as it gets closer to 100 million years in the future, the climate and temperature of the entire planet warms up rapidly, and, as a result, all of the ice at the poles melt. This event wipes out about 65-70% of life; the biggest hit are the mammals.

  • ...and why would you think i am one?

  • what do you have against muslims?

  • Angel? Why not a leprechaun, or a unicorn, or the tooth fairy? The exist only in minds where they can't escape (i.e. totally closed)!

  • your welcome =)

  • 100.000 visitors!!! thanks everybody!!!

  • Until money makes world tick,i am sure that technology will not save our world, nor humanity. We have technology to make wonders but someone uses that technology to make money instead.Until monetary system rules, there is no hope for humanity.

  • of scenes that ranges from the mildly. I've watcher this movie T O T A L L Y F R E E @ MovieWatcher(.)US

  • That wasn't the only thing that I said. In fact, what I believe is that we will move to another needs to meet our needs. Whatever they may be.

  • the music is giving me diarrhea

  • FAP FAP FAP FAP!

  • its not going to happen...

  • i really thought octopus would turn into daleks

  • the mega squid looked like bulbursaur and the toraton looks like the fire tortoise

  • Agree!!! Only, remember that (unlike walkings with __ ) this movie - only an imagined version of evolution. Nothing more.

  • The Best In order;

    1. Mega Squid

    2. Toranton

    3. Flish

    4. Swampus

    5. Windrunner (Least favourite)

  • is it the same think in the futuruscope ???

  • i seen this on animal planet when i was little

  • they all look like pokemon to me

  • me too!

  • omg ur rite

  • @qi8888 or digimo they look a bit like digimon too

  • I remember back in the late 80s CBS would use this song on their Tour de France coverage.

  • good memory

  • when I was a little boy I was watching every saturday and sunday on Animal Planet at this documentaries

  • What does religion have to do with this film?

  • @Albiorix2

In every secular video, there just has to be someone from either side creating an argument. It may be they that they love a fight but luckily Youtube allows us a spam button. Use it wisely.

  • @Albiorix2 give an idiot a hammer and he sees only nails.

  • wow your really ignorant to say that.

oh and we wont have graves u dumb shit.lol

  • No, no one will mind that you are scared shitless of death, that you believe in laughable fairytales that wouldn't convince an intelligent 6 year old, or that you have no comprehension of the effect religion has on the ignorant such as yourself.

  • Holy shit are you a douchebag, i'd be surprised if you had friends.

  • why do you say that

  • exactly but they have the right to burn in hell

  • the air-breathing squid is so FAKE!!!!

  • if you watched the entire series it makes sense. But then again you likely dont have a very open mind

  • Who knows? Humans might be giant predators far into the future :P Everything is evolving.

  • @Bernieo153 Yes, but humans will only evolve if our civilisation is destroyed - with the technology we have today, sick and weak people (sorry) live even though they would not survive in nature, and it's of course very Hitler-ish to prevent these from getting kids.

So, as long as we have our technology, humans will not evolve, we will only get sicker in the long term.

  • You actualy make a point

  • Actually, developing technology is part of evolution and what has made the human species so successful. Aside from the large brains and opposable thumbs we are not physically very imposing compared to other animals.

  • No, humans are neither very imposing nor impressive - we are certianly not "ultimate" which some seem to believe.

But what I mean is that technology will most likely stop the human body from evolving to become "better" creatures, since we are not being naturally selected anymore.

  • We don't need better bodies aside from our brains. In fact, with even more intelligence and knowledge we will have the power to change predict and adapt ourselves to almost anything. That's why we can roam in space while the "mighty" lion will forever be stuck on terra firma. That also happens to be the reason why lions are slowly going extinct while humans are overpopulating the planet.

  • What I'm trying to get to is that humans will degenerate more or less - like I said, we can't deny genetically sick people from reproducing, so we will just be stuck with our technology, totally dependent on it.

The human body is definitely not ultimate in any way, and like any creature we would benefit (in the long run) from evolution, but like you say, we neither need nor will go through evolution anymore as long as we have the technology.

  • Technology is part of evolution and humans are not alone in that endeavour.

  • Trust me, we'll be long long after 10,000 years either by extinction or we move to another planet

  • in 10,000 years we will have completed the mission given to the human race by the angel gabriel -- to destroy every single species on this planet.

  • gosh the squid gross me out but it so big and they can breath air?!

  • yes. Based in the series, I Think they are 100% land dwellers.

  • Squid FTW

  • this music is lame.

  • i would be so freakin scared if i would see one of those in my backyard

  • yea toratons are gigantic if i saw one right in front of me id shit my pants

  • If this did happen our world would never be the same! Neither would humans if they came back! They sort of look like dinos!

I like the music its kwl.

  • Yes people, this is not a joke. This is a real video of how animals coult look like in the future (it's scientific).

  • r these real

  • dolfins with wings+? for god sake...........this future is alien invasion.....and earth devastation, there is no way out

  • The planet is a self-regulating, self-sustaining, self-cleansing system. The earth will correct itself long after we destroy ourselves with our global devastation. The planet has already past by things far worse than us: global warming, global cooling, earthquakes, meteor showers, inversion of the poles, destruction and renovation of the ozone layer...

So don't flatter yourself. This could be possible... The planet can sustain life way after we're gone.

  • Remember the first time I watch was with my parents. They dont accept evolution. And the whole time they kept saying things like "there no proof this would happen" or " how do they know what would happen". And I had to keep say that they dont actaully know and the whole thing is mainly for fun.
