I've lived in both Europe and the states; I respect both systems. The US is the US, it will never change. Unless you have enough money you are fucked in the US but that's the way it is. I personally would prefer growing old in Denmark and not worrying about crime, getting sick without healthcare, etc. I still support Ron Paul...

The Supreme Court has already ruled that the 16th amendment gives the Congress no new powers of taxation. Nowhere in the amendment does it say that the congress can lay a DIRECT tax that is unapportined.

mystrangemind- Much of what you say is great but forgive my correcting you regarding the IRS- Internal Revenue code was written in 1861 and it was called the Bureau of Internal Revenue, in 1954 it was changed to the Internal Revenue Service. Someone digging in Delaware land records and found something about The Internal Revenue Service assuming that the Federal Reserve was forming its own entity called the IRS.

But this search was not only a waste of time but did nothing for our understanding of the lawful nature of this entity. In fact, many of the 1861 provisions are still in effect today. Well the World Health Organization found that the French have the best healthcare system followed by the Italians. My country, UK, came 18th while the USA was back in 37th place. That was in 2000, maybe things have changed.
