Kenya's mission should be clear from the word go! Occupying Somalia and getting involved with their politics would be ill advised. @ACKTAPUSS The military does not self deploy like you believe. It has to recieve marching orders from the MinDef for small sclae deployment, C-in-C/Parliament for large scale deployment over borders. That being said when thay deploy they have specific orders too, maybe for this they have been ordered not to go beyond 250 KM from the Kenya border while in Som AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFULL ARMY, its ability to follow orders. So don't bash the mlitary, understand how things are done.

@engineer14 The G3 is still in wide use by several militaries, including those of Mexico and Latvia, and they're used well. As for the armoured cars there, I'm not sure I can comment, but it would be much easier to pull across a vast area and attack militia than say a tank or larger APC. I do agree though- the weapons and armament should be upgraded in Kenya, secured tightly as well, with those rebels pouring in from the neighbours.

@ACKTAPUSS The military does not self deploy like you believe. It has to recieve marching orders from the MinDef for small sclae deployment, C-in-C/Parliament for large scale deployment over borders. That being said when thay deploy they have specific orders too, maybe for this they have been ordered not to go beyond 250 KM from the Kenya border while in Som AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFULL ARMY, its ability to follow orders. So don't bash the mlitary, understand how things are done.

As for the armoured cars there, I'm not sure I can comment, but it would be much easier to pull across a vast area and attack militia than say a tank or larger APC. I do agree though- the weapons and armament should be upgraded in Kenya, secured tightly as well, with those rebels pouring in from the neighbours.
