Dude, I think you should get an other video card and GTA IV will run awesome! I have an AMD Athlon II X4 620 2,6 GHz, 8GB RAM Kingston DDR3 1333MHz and a Powercolor HD 4850 1GB! At the highest settings if GTA IV I get about 30fps... But my CPU isn't so good as yours... If I put the Draw Distance at 30 or 40, I get about 40-50 fps. I would like more...

the 8800 gtx is much better than the 8800gts (G80). The (G92) card is powerful until a resulotion of 1280x1024

but when you play with a resolution higher than 1280x1024, i would say that you should keep the 8800 gtx ;)

Well I'm not him or have the stuff that he does but I would have to say the q9550 is amazing proccesor it takes a 3.4ghz amd quad at 140w tdp to beat this q9550 at 2.8ghz and 95w tdp I mean its pretty good and costs less atm even though lga 775 socket is kinda dead they won't make any amazing proccesors for it most likely by the time you need to upgrade from this thing you'd be better of getting the latest i9 in some years when it comes out

Well 9550 I'd say is better because of price its 100 dollars less and not much performance diffrence btw if you want ddr2 platform stay with the q9550 but if ddr3 prices dont bother you go with the new i5 750 either way you'll get really good performance

it's a bit faster for things which require 8 threads as it has hyperthreading, which is why you'll see it to be a fair bit faster in cpu benchmarks... but in games, you won't see a difference from a Q9550 to a Core i7

Over-clocking involves on how much heat you can disperse out before you over heat and fry your card. Over clocking little by little until you get stability should be enough.

My graphics card and cpu is not even hot with this overclock. The cpu is about 50C in GTA and about 60 in full load. My graphics card never goes over 62C in full load!
