I unfortunately ignored this great band in the early 90's thanks to this particular awful cookie-cutter, by-the-books report from Allison Stewart and by bad promotion from MTV.  They basically reported "...you know - it's for girls...".

I later saw them in a live performance on Tr!o in the late 90's and was impressed by their setlist.

Moral of the story: MTV sucks, and I have always hated Allison Stewart.

I have loved Luscious Jackson ever since I heard the Daughters of the K.A.O.S. and still do to this day.

i like that part where they explained that they don't want male audiences to be hung up on their looks.

if you ask me, they've really achieved that goal. they may be pretty, but their music is so awesome that it takes my focus off of their looks.
