@MattsFuturistVisions I understand that because I have to have some people repeat several times. I sometimes either get distracted or I can't grasp what exactly they're trying to say or mean. It gets to the point of frustration, which I know isn't my fault, but it's hard for people to understand sometimes.
My twin brother has autism LFA. Growing up I was also at the same time diagnosed with several areas of severe learning disabilities. Some which coincide with HFA, and spent much more school in preschool called MRDD. My twin and I have fought for along time to prove that not even our diagnoses could get in the way of our dreams. He now works where we had begun our challenged life, and I'll be getting my degree in nursing.
I have autism myself, and often show some odd behaviors, such as stimming. I have also have had loud outburst when I was in school, or in the store. I also would get upset, and start grabbing things and start throwing them at people.
Also, the difference between HFA & LFA is a matter of a opinion. Different excperts will use differnt things to seperate HFA from LFA. Some will use IQ, some will use language, some will use how able you are to function without help, some will say it's weather you've got accompanying Learning Difficulties or not, some will say it's weather your autism is mild or not. The point is there is no defanit cut off between the two.
I am 30 and still live at home, symptomes like this cause me to work my job and be a functual alcoholic, live a normal life at work and with friends but i have issues with my dad. he has ptss and wont deal with it I am 30 and trying to get a place of my own do i have pdd nos?
@Sitheis2009 Sometimes i have trouble understanding what people say, and they have to repeat themselves so i can understand, that happens occasionally, but it's also from my ADD, people with ADD don't always pay attention, sometimes i don't understand what someones thinking or looking at, and that counts as body language too, if someone gives me some sort of sign, i sometimes cant figure it out! but its not to the extreme. but no i never came across any problems with the theory of mind.
@Sitheis2009 Theres different cases of autism, some people with HFA probably do, some effects could be sensitivity, reading body language, reading emotions,,, my HFA effects my social interactions, eye contact, i get clumsy, i have trouble figuring out what to say next, and i'm painfully shy when in crowds or even when talking to someone 1 on 1!!
@Sitheis2009 Yes, i know, i have autism plus ADD so i get easily distracted in school but i'm trying, you just have to work hard and make the best of it, i have gotten allot better and i'm getting more better as i go, were people too you know, just because we learn different does not mean anything, and i'm glad i have autism because i probably could'int be able to do the things i'm doing now!! autism to be is not a disability, its a gift!
@Sitheis2009 Yes, That will be one of my videos for this series, my next video is going to be something i did as a school project, It will be a poetry slam about my life in perspective, it will contain humor and emotion as well, I'm trying to get the students who wonder about me at my school to know me better.
@Grantofglyn Yes, but people with aspergers not only have difficulties in social interaction, but also are sensitive to bright lights, loud noises, smells, etc.
Sensory Issues isn't really the difference between aspergers & HFA. Some people with asperger's don't have sensory issues & some people with HFA do. Symptoms vary from person to person. The main difference between AS & HFA is that with AS there is no language deley as with HFA there is. People with HFA gerually show more symptoms of Classic autism than people with AS do too.
@MattsFuturistVisions@Grantofglyn actually, aspergers is not yet considered a type of autism. it is in its own category and a lot of people are against it being grouped in with autism. there is discussion about it being grouped in with autism in DSM V though.

I would trade my ADHD and Tics for Autism/Asperger's Syndrome if I could, I'm so jealous.
