  • just make it faster. open your mouths more when you sing to get a more mature sound.

  • Wow, you ruined that. Quicken up and put some expression into it.

  • must be performed faster

  • @XBionic1955 This is the origian, and this is a much better version in my opinion

  • faster! faster! but of course well done!

  • You need to bring out alto part. Other then that, good job:)

  • My son loves this song they do in chorus at his school.Good job yall.

  • What key did they sing this in? It sounds so weird....

  • It sounds a tad immature

  • Great intonation but the musicality needs to be worked on. Really emphasize the crescendos and decrescendos and look at the dynamics! You have great talent but I believe that you aren't working to you full potential and you could really make it beautiful if you just work on some of the thing I just mentioned. Don't take this the wrong way but the way you sing in the video somewhat resembles robots singing it.

  • i can't french, but i sing in choir and for me this song easy to learn.

    greetings from poland!

  • I performed this song when I was in High School. I was one of the Sopranos. I loved it! So much fun to sing! :D

  • @HamanisaNomosaki We loved to speed it up during practice to see how fast we could do it and not mess up! XD

  • Very nice! :) The men did a great job, especially!

  • you guys did good job indeed! but good lord you guys speed up on pg9-10 like crazy! and is specially altos -___-

  • better way way faster

  • mmmm...guys nice balancing but the basses were not present or i didnt hear them...and tenors you were off in the et je pre me plai si part lol we struggle with that part too

  • Dude, my ensemble struggle with this song. I hate practicing this song cause we never have enough time to rehearse it.

  • Wow Chorale was really small then, but still sounded great!

  • the blending was perfect!! there is balance ad harmony!

  • i just learned this song today... it's so much fun :)

what a conincidence--my choir is singing that song and we have the exact same dresses that they have.

  • ya if i were a judge i would've said the tenors in a few spots are a little flat mostly ebcause of their mouth structure while singing those higher notes. but oother than that great!

  • All I hear is soprano and alto. WHERE are the basses?

  • @effinkiller424 You're not supposed to hear the men. The song is about women gossiping about men. Il est bel et bon actually means (at least our instructor told us it did) He is so very handsom. Then again my choral instructor is a retarded asshole who needs to get laid so, don't quote me on it.

  • @AxelShurikin I understand the piece well, but the bass line is a pretty substantial part of the song. If not, it wouldn't have it's own independent flow, as do the other parts.

  • Really good, except the accent.

    Well, nice work x)

  • I performed this song at a choral festival with the professional group Chanticleer, so we got a lot of pointers.

I, personally, like it a lot faster.

And we got destroyed when it came to the french XD

You have a good sound, but there is sooo much more expression you can put into this song, You look dead.

This song literally means "My husband is good, he feeds the chickens and doesn't beat me, and I take my pleasure."

It's about a woman who cheats on her husband! Act a little adulterous!

  • This is amazing!

  • bass 2 here. where my basses at? i couldnt hear u guys! they got the best part in some spots too :( love this song tho! u guys were great

  • I like this piece to be much faster than this.

  • my only major problem with this is the pronunciation. much of it is pronounced as latin words when they are in fact french. other than that it was good

  • You should do "ficta" alterations, specially in the cadences.

    The tempo is too slow.

    Everything is a bit desequilibrated.

It need more work, or better work.

    The tune is ok. ;D

  • there is no conductor? Quite good if it is so!

  • it was pretty decent but your tempo was way slow its much fatser

  • Good job, however, the pronunciation is off (it's supposed to be pulie-a, not pulay-a). Overall, good intonation and pacing.

  • I would not have uploaded this. Sorry.

  • My choir is doin this for UIL....it is HARD!!!!

  • no esta mal , pero se nota la falta de tenores, apenas se les oye, debe de haber solo un tenor..??

  • i love this song :)

my madrigal group is performing this for spring trip. i'm excited.

  • damn.. there good

  • i love this madrigal:) i also enjoy listeing to it:)

  • Renneseanse, pollyfoni, madgrigal.

  • we sing it in our small choir to its funy :)

  • nice.. My madrigals Choir performed this you guys have the same dresses.

  • I'm learning this right now for vocal ensemble...pronouncing the words is hard. But you guys sound really good!

  • I know right?

I don't know if it's pronounced "Eel et bel et bon" or "eel ay bel ay bon"

    D:

  • It's "eel ay bel ay bon"...at least that's the way I was taught. Crazy song.

  • very nice. I enjoyed it.

  • It sounds good... if you guys perform this again try and interact with each other, tell each other that your lover is amazing that he feeds the chickens!

  • You sing it very good, but your french is sometimes really terrible...

  • who is the name of the chorus ¿¿¿???

  • Beautiful..Translate please, i`m from argentina and i can speak english very well. (((Soy de Argentina y participo de un coro tambien, justamente estamos cantando esa misma canciòn y los encontre cantando; si les interesa, cuando tengamos lista la obra dejo el video en youtube para mostrarselas y compartir criticas...)))

Mucha suerte suenan espectacular !!! )))

Translate pleas i`m from argentina and i can speak english very well.

  • Look at my impeccable husband I married years ago Only yesterday I let my neighbor know When she asked about the stupid so and so Look at my impeccable husband I married years ago Never with a blow has he once laid me low. He does all the housework Even feeds the chickens And leaves me to my affairs My dear, you wouldn't credit How often I have fed it The cock in the morning that loves to crow Look at my impeccable husband I married years ago
  • They say a lot of the things over and over, but that's the basic translation.

  • no its not

  • I sing this song, and I have the sheet music with the English translation. That's what it means.

  • yeah.

    so do i.

  • Okay, well mine rhymes, so I'm thinking they just adapted it so you could sing an English verse.

What does yours say it means?

  • it could be a bit faster...dont for get what your singing about...petite cocquete has to be very quiet!!!! well done!
