I notice you pop to first person every now and then during quick replays, are you recording everyone at once or do they record themselves and submit it later? I'm unfamiliar with how all this recording stuff works.

I'd be interested in seeing class-specific highlights, or entire matches, if possible. ie following a medic during firefights or the rush to mid, to get a feel for what he's seeing when he decides to drop uber , switch targets, etc.

I do all the recording myself, staying in 3rd person most of the time, then going back and re-recording 1st person perspectives. I'm putting more cuts in and switching perspectives more due to more FPS requests.

I'm certainly interested in doing some side vids with a detailed look at a single middle fight, or also just looking at a particular class as you suggest.

I love Argon. Since watching him I feel like a better medic, and that's my most played class. I love how he isn't afraid to drop Uber to get the last cap. Fearless. He makes use of the high movement speed of his class to sneak in behind the action - I personally would have bonesawed the pyro and soldier in the back, but thats just me.

I think building uber in gray bridge has one huge disadvantage. Medic could get sniped easily since it's a wide open area?

Every class is used in competitive, depending on the map, the situation and the teams that are playing.

Engineer is standard on maps like turbine and gravelpit and heavy is quite common on gravelpit and well for example. Sniper is good on almost every map, particularly gravelpit and freight, if you have a good sniper. Pyro is sometimes used to defend final caps.

a competitive team is commonly formed of a medic, 2 soldiers, 2 scouts and a demo. It's because they're the most reliable/flexible classes in all the game, sometimes u can also see engies (like in this video), snipers, heavies, pyros, and even spies doing their job. But it's not as common as this formation...

Competitive teams always have this configuration by "default". It's called the cookie-cutter setup (Google it to find the article about it on the wiki). I find this a bit disappointing however. It's only a subset of TF2 and the element of surprise is often lost, save the occasional spy backstab or pyro ambush.

Though I do agree with you, it's just really hard to play spy effectively because teams usually have very tight communication, and the lucky stab isn't really that common; mostly you'll be using the revolver. I've seen a great pyro ambush once though, pretty much sealed the win for the team.

We're in bottom Division of ETF2L and we used a Pyro on Turbine to push through the intel room and it worked to great effect.

Standard classes are important but have to remember you're not restricted to the 4 classes. When suitable we will try to run a sniper for a pick, or a Pyro as a surprise, or a Spy to get their medic...we got Scouts who can switch these utilities.

I've always enjoyed your videos and commentary, but i have just one suggestion. For the first match why try doing a split screen of both teams heading to mid then switching back to full screen? I'd like to see how both teams try to get to the point in the first match, and see the differences.
