  • Why do you add corn syrup to the buttercream frosting? What is the purpose for this ingredient? Thanks!

  • @HomewreckerHaHa The purpose of using corn syrup is to thin out the thick consistency of the buttercream, instead of adding water. Which you can also do if you choose to use the buttercream for writing. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

  • Wish you would have showed all the cupcakes.

  • Hi

I just want to leave a comment about the camera work. If you will look at your video you will see that the cameraman is moving the camera around for effect. Well , I was only able to take this fancy camera work for 2:12 Min. into the video, and I had to quit watching.

In 1968 I took the Dale Carnegie course here in Chicago, and one of the first things we learned that first night was, " Don't let the manner distract from the matter." well that is exactly what has taken place here.

  • Can u tell me what song that is your playing? thanks for the butter cream.

  • @rcraftee1 Hi, check in the description. I have a few of them listed.

  • HI!! :) I'm just wondering is this recipe good for crumb coating?? If not, do you know of recipe that is?? I have been looking for and testing all kinds of icings, but I'm looking for one that uses a small amount of shortening or none. Please help!!

  • @amberlu87 Yes it is. What you can do is after you get to the stage where it's done. Take the majority of the icing out of the mixer. Leave just enough to where you think will be enough to crumb coat the cake(s) your going to do. Then if you need to thin it out add more cream or milk to do so. If you do too stiff consistency, you'll wind of tearing up the cake like crazy. I find that that having a somewhat of a thinner consistency help to do the crumb coat so that way you don't rip up the cake.

  • @picantesworld77 Thank you so much!!

  • @amberlu87 Your very welcome. Let me know how it goes when you do it.

  • @picantesworld77 IT WAS AWESOME!! I MADE MY VERY FIRST 3D BUNNY CAKE AND IT TURNED OUT SO MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD! YAY ME!! THANKS AGAIN!! :)

  • You know what, I do apologize. I didn't bother to look in the down bar and the information that was there or any previous comments. I do applaud you for using this buttercream beause it is the best recipe I have ever found. And I do realize it is more convenient to post a recipe and video for your subscribers instead of sending them on a map through YouTube. Thank you for the video and I truly am sorry.

  • @gimmibobsav thats okay :) I get a lot of people hating, but for all the wrong reasons. However, I'm glad you stand up youtube users and making sure credit is due. :) Yes it is. I use it for cakes. Its as the same as the stuff you get in the can. But better. Remember to add more powdered sugar for roses. I love baking, I'm glad to connect with people like yourself to chat about yummy foods. I hope you continue to watch my videos and we keep in contact in sharing our common interests. YW Gimmi

  • You got this recipe for SeriousCakes. It is identical, you even use her tips and warnings. How convenient, you could have just directed or linked her video.

  • Your know what since you figured that one out you get a gold star. For being upset, read the comments below because seriouscakes didn't complain. She knows I didn't take the glory for myself. I never mentioned it was "my" recipe. I asked her questions even about buttercream. nobody else mentioned anything in time this video was posted except you. It's okay. I'm not mad. I'm just being convenient, everyone has their different styles and twists. Have a blessed day.
