This song really speaks to me on an emotional and spiritiual level since i was diagnosed with leukemia back in the '80s i used to hang around with the bandmembers backstage and we listened to motley crue and drank jack daniels from da bottle, man those were good times, really makes me reflect on the emptyness, the dark void that is life, make long walks through the forest playing with my sphyncter, and listening to this song on my ipod. \,,/

This music is "true" philosophy. Wisdom written down in form of melody and cries. There is no "meaning" of life. Pain and death are the only answers. But I'm not as sad as I used to be. I just have to deal with the "enlightenment" given by pain and sorrow. From this perspective everything becomes clear and pure. I don't know how these guys achieved it, but Silencer is the purest form of art I've ever experienced.

You really cannot paint anything, because life is no canvas.The pure philospohy of this music is the poetry of the impossibility to control life. It is the total emptiness, that makes this music so pure. The loss of any illusion. You can't reach beyond death. Therefore, there really is no good in this life - but also nothing bad. Just emptiness, absurdity and... silence by the time life shoots you.
