  • I am late to this video (by a lot) and I just wanted you to know that the way you teach Korean, is amazing. I actually answered someone with 아니요 the other day! Automatically. Your lessons catch my attention and I just love them!

  • you are cute :3

i wish i could learn korean

i olnly know english and spanish haha

i love the music and and dramas .. i just hope that i can visit it someday lol

  • Wow you have amazing english for someone who self-learned.

With the same dedication you had to study english I hope I can pick up korean and chinese conversationally.

  • Oh my gosh, your English is so good for someone who doesnt live in an English speaking country

  • how old are you??

  • great job dude, very impressive. you do speak English very well. you majored in french and now what? working on japanese and spanish as well? i'd just say 'wow'. you're on the right track and hope you achieve the goals you set. and you look much younger tho ;)

  • u are really great! now u are my inspiration~hahaha :3

  • wow if you learned English purely in Korea, its just amazing

keep up your studying and i believe you will be as good as native English speakers

( you are almost as good now too !!! :) )

just watching you studying/trying hard makes me really happy :>

i have met many many Koreans (i live in Canada)

they are pretty strong in grammar or vocab, but aren't as good at speaking

but you are incredibly fluent and sounds very native

i think your way of studying is the best :)

    hope others try yours

  • You're not bad at all at speaking english, especially considering the fact that you're Korean.Keep up the good job! :D

  • you're really good at English... did you go abroad to learn it? Or did you just study by yourself from school? wow you're really really good. Keep up the good work...!

  • @cherryx LOOOOOOL just seen your comment...we thought the same thing!!! XDDD

  • wow, thats a new lesson for me.i did not know that about age there.hello from bc canada,my name is mark.native english,i know about 12 french words, after being taught for all my school years,i chose vietnamese as a second language.and its quite difficult.

  • Hi Hyunwoo, I'm a spanish guy trying to learn and upgrade my skills in english. Your videos are very interesting and amusing. Very well done!

  • Hi! I've been checking out your videos for quite some time, but this is my first time to post a comment.

I think your English is really amazing! I am a Japanese guy, and I love to study English also. I just wish that I were as fluent as you are in English! It is also remarkable that you have very little accent!

Will continue to check out your videos from time to time, as they give me a lot of inspiration. Keep up the good work!

  • You said, "for being good at foreign languages, you should try hard to study for yourself, and do not expect someone will teach you"

That speech made me feel regretful.

I always complained to my parents why they didn't allow me to study-abroad and I annoyed them...

now I realized that if I try hard, I can get it(Whatever it is..)

Thanks very much! :) I will try do my best!

  • Wow.. your English is very cool.

I'm 11 years old girl who live in Korea like you.

I'm interested in studying foreign languages. Because I was born in poor family, I have no oppurtunity to study abroad... so I have to study English for myself, cause I want to speak it fluently.

For me, It's very impressive to watch your videos. Because you can speak various kinds of foreign languages well.. I envy you your talent

  • You are so cute. Just pleese don't ever say that your not smart.

  • Thank a lot ^_^

  • i dun understand what you said at 1:08

    was that korean?

that aside, your english is great~

  • yes, "Korean" is what I said ^_^

  • You are AWESOME!

  • Thanks a lot!!

  • You are so impressive. I'm a hard-of-hearing American girl and I usually can't understand foriegn accents. I read lips(if that makes sense?) and sometimes can't even understand fellow english speaking people.

I can understand most of what your saying.. and you don't even have subs. Thats pretty impressive of you.

I'm trying to learn Korean right now. I love the language and culture. I know some Japanese and Spanish.

    But you're awesooooooooome!

    Just letting you know. ^_^

  • Thanks a lot ^^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are my hero! you are studying or speaking all the languages I want to speak too!! I totally failed at french, but I am trying my best at chinese right now.

now I am going to try koreanpod101! :D

  • very very impressive!!!

I think your English pronunciation is just perfect.

I'm also learning Enlgish but my pronunciation is awful...

Could you please tell me how to improve it? thanks~~!!

  • yo~I have to say: YOU LOOK REALLY YOUNG...haha...

yea your english is pretty good, cuz some of my korean friends here in Canada have korean accents, but obviously you don't really have~Hyunwoo짱~=)

    KEEP IT UP!

I'm learning korean by myself now, I'm at the basic level@.@, but I think I will take some korean courses @ school later on, during my 3rd and 4th yr in university...

anyway, good job and keep posting!

I'll keep posting :)

  • Wow! I'm really impressed!

I'm currently studying Korean on my own and I speak Korean fairly well but with some difficulty.(long pause)

Keep up the good work! love your vids :D

  • I know your age system^^ basically the same as it is in China hehe

  • Is it? I thought it was different :D

  • wow. I'm so impressed. Your English is better than a lot of people that I know who grew up here in Canada. :P

  • thanks ^^!!!!!!

  • Wow. You have very good intonation ^^

  • oh thank you ^^!!!!

  • How long have you been oversea ?

I mean in english speaking countries.

  • I've learned English here in Korea ^^;; I've travelled to Europe but not for very long ^^;;

  • that's pretty impressive!

I'm now in Canada to study english,

and i'm ashamed that i couldn't become like you.. i've been studying english, like most korean students, more than 10yrs though...

  • Hmmm. Interesting. So an infant born, let's say for example, just 12 days before the lunar new year becomes 2 years old in Korea by the time the new year comes? So at the 12th day of his life in Western counting, he'll be considered 2 years old in Korea?

  • Exactly.

  • SiKedek:

Ting! ◄-- sound fx of my enlightenment

    Thanks for the info.

Just a question, Korean age has the same rules as for Chinese age, right?

  • I want to know your method of study, because mine isn't working for me.

Awesome video thanks for the insight.

  • John :) thanks!

The essence of my method of learning a foreign language is to focus on remembering and being able to use in context what I learned no matter how little it is, instead of focusing on learning a lot - so even if I learn just one word a day or ten sentences a day - I aim at 100% efficiency (although it isn't really possible) ^^ by reviewing and by trying hard to find a situation where or a person to whom I can use what I learned within a few days ^^

  • But I think basically, praciting a lot and reading thing out loud a lot really helps, because once you know something by the mouth, you don't really have to think too much with your brain in order to form sentences when you need to use them really quickly. ^^

I'll try to make a video about it soon :)

  • I hope you can make a video about that soon! I've got a more effective study method now than I did a couple of months ago, but I'd love to know more about the way you do it. Every time I discuss study methods with someone else who is either learning a foreign language or like you has already learnt one or is in the process of learning more than one, then I always find lots of little ideas from them that I can incorporate into my own method, making it work even better for me.

    *steals your brain*
