Dudes. It's not a real boot screen. It's an animation and it's done by volunteers, not Canonical.

It's looks nice, btw and nothing like Windows 7.

This looks really cool. If the particles would slowly form a little glowing ubuntu logo (doens't need to be the standard one with the yellow/orange/red colours) it would make it genius :)

The only fault I can find with this is that the Ubuntu logo itself looks too simple compared to the (a-bit-too) flashy effects.

If you'd add simple shading to the logo it would instantly look better in my opinion- subtlety is the key though so the shading should be very vague.

It WOULD be nice to see though, rather than a boot screen that looks like its from the late 90's. If anything, I'd change the logo at the very end to be somewhat 3d/shiny. I'd go for it ;) My fav was your first suggestion.
