The show started off being set in the mid 50's. Big Girls Don't Cry came out in 1962. So the show starting off in maybe 1955 or 1956 would make sense 6 years later with this song's release. :)

@elvis3700 No earlier than fall 1962 as that's when the Four Seasons (always a '60s group to me that even made a mid-'70s comeback) Big Girls Don't Cry was released. Looking at the cars outside, they actually make sense as teens generally had the used cars (I don't see a car past '57 out there). They should have only been up to 1959-60 at this point, so a song like Frankie Avalon's Venus would have worked better here.

@pannoni1 If the show is begun in the LATE 50s then that would make it at the earliest 56-57 fast forward six years (one per season ya dig) the fall of 62-the spring of 65. It is That 70s show that confuses me if it can only exist in the time frame of the 70s and it starts in 77 (seeing Star Wars was in the first season) it would encapsulate only 3 years.

Happy Days was first aired in 1974 but the show was set in 1955 as the years went on the show also changed years, by the time the show ended in the early 1980's the years had went on into the late 1960's when Jonie married Fonzie's cousin Chachi Arcola

This song wasn't released untlil the early sixties and Vietnam was under way and since the fonz wasn't in college and didn't have a kid wtf wouldn't he be drafted? The army certainly would have snatched up an ace mechanic.
