The only thing that makes a console worth buying are the exclusive games. Some games are better with a controller but you can use one with a pc. I personally play pc and console games. If you have both a pc and a console you might as well get games better with a controller on the console.

the thing you console gamers have to understand is that when every new gen console is released it is only neck and neck with PC for 3 to 6 months. See, the PC market world gets new hardware every 3 to 6 months, CPU's, ram, mobos, video cards, entire platforms and chipsets. so 3 to 6 months after your console gets release you are immediately outdated for the next 15 to 20 years or god only knows when new consoles get released. educate your selfs and don't be afraid of technology.

This is all good and fine but the thing is Console's are meant to last multiple years with every new game having better graphics. You don't have to buy a new machine everytime a new game comes out. So whether PC is more fun and has better graphics, look at all the new updates you need on it.
I know what gaming pcs are. I just don't know what they're suppose to look like. Every time a gaming site needs to use a picture of a pc, their image of a pc keeps changing or they'll avoid using one at all. I assume no pc can perfectly represent the platform and it's a shame, too. It means no pc will ever have the iconic status that consoles like the NES have.

The part about the resolution, is false... xbox's and ps3's both can run on multiple resolution settings without the need for anti aliasing, and the games at the convention were running 1080 or 720, or 480. ... an xbox can do all of those, a ps3 can do all of those..

Any of those resolutions above 720p aren't native they are just upscaled 720p images stretched to 720p size. There are few games that actually run in native 1080p on consoles.

Although I'm a console gamer at heart, I try to play games on whatever platform they came out for first. I'll be playing Mario and Zelda games on consoles and Half-Life games on pcs. If the game is a multiplatform release, I'll usually get the console version.
When it comes to exclusives, I prefer consoles. There are so many exclusives on consoles that interest me, like halo, gears, uncharted, Killzone, resistance, infamous, while the only pc game that interests me is team fortress 2. Flame me all you want fanboys, but this is just my opinion. Not saying pc exclusives suck, it's just that there aren't a lot of games that looks interesting to me

If I recall correctly, most MMOs require a 10-15 charge per month just to play, which is 2x as expensive as XBL.

the controller thing.... you can use a XBOX controller on a PC, or any controller for that matter. I think the best point they made was flexibility of consoles... it's very simple to use them and require no tech smarts compared to pc gaming.

I know what gaming pcs are. I just don't know what they're suppose to look like. Every time a gaming site needs to use a picture of a pc, their image of a pc keeps changing or they'll avoid using one at all. I assume no pc can perfectly represent the platform and it's a shame, too. It means no pc will ever have the iconic status that consoles like the NES have.

The part about the resolution, is false... xbox's and ps3's both can run on multiple resolution settings without the need for anti aliasing, and the games at the convention were running 1080 or 720, or 480. ... an xbox can do all of those, a ps3 can do all of those..

@alexmini123 Actually no. The consoles are locked into specific settings unless you use 3D or something so they'll downscale. Any of those resolutions above 720p aren't native they are just upscaled 720p images stretched to 720p size. There are few games that actually run in native 1080p on consoles.

Although I'm a console gamer at heart, I try to play games on whatever platform they came out for first. I'll be playing Mario and Zelda games on consoles and Half-Life games on pcs. If the game is a multiplatform release, I'll usually get the console version.

When it comes to exclusives, I prefer consoles. There are so many exclusives on consoles that interest me, like halo, gears, uncharted, Killzone, resistance, infamous, while the only pc game that interests me is team fortress 2. Look at when Crysis came for the PC in 2007, it was too demanding to be released for the consoles. Now, they released a dumped down version of it that looks like lego compared to the PC crysis with mods.

Unlike most map creators (like Future Perfect) FW does not have you insert blocks that represent rooms. You must build the room yourself. Add that to FWs budget and object limit, and you need to think ahead, otherwise youll be deleting for a long time...

Consoles have a variant of mod support, it's known as Forge World, Little Big Planet, and ModNation Racers. Granted, it's not Garry's Mod, but not all games offer mod support (Bf3, any Cod past 5, Final Fantasy's).
If I recall correctly, most MMOs require a 10-15 charge per month just to play, which is 2x as expensive as XBL.

On top of that, old games are still available and popular on PC. Counter Strike, which came out in 2001, is still wildly popular. Whereas on console, you need to buy an old console, and track down a physical copy of the game you want to play.
PS your point "no one plays on PC" is bull. There are millions of people on steam.

And, we have much better hardware, near unlimited modding, free online gaming, much more options for game controlling (mice, keyboards, gamepads etc.) The only thing most pc games lack: no splitscreen multiplayer. But it is definitely possible. Also, pc's are fully upgradable and customizable. That is why pc's are better ^^
