Good vid. Except the fact that he says this exercises works on your V-shape. Of course it will involve a little, but a row is common used for building thickness of the middle section of the back. Period.
Fail Village. All Personal Trainers know that "proper" form when performing a seated row is to have your back stationary and neutral. Meaning it does NOT sway. If you want to do it this way, we can call it your "modified seated row" to have more erector spinae activation.
Yet another person incorrectly exhaling on the pull...also the "stretch" the way it's performed in this video works the posterior ligamentous system which means you are shifting AWAY from the the muscle.Keep the spine neutral and you could can still lean forward if you like.Good retraction though
@jikwang555 if you're a beginner then you'll feel a "burn" on your forearms, biceps and triceps, specially the biceps, and of course your back which is the focused muscle. if you're more advanced you should feel more of a "burn" on your biceps than your triceps.
Sometimes I sit still and isolate my back, but sometimes I lean forward to use some momentum. I do this mostly when doing a lower rep range, to increase my strength. I never (NEVER) lean backward though. Form is important, but not holy. When you do it clever, you may use SOME momentum, to get you through a difficult part in your ROM.
@Bjkeirl Yeah I was thinking the samething. I always lean back and keep straight and pull in with the back of my shoulders with elbows inward. But it seems he is using his lower back to pull and them bringing his shoulers together.
so youre not supposed to keep your back straight? looks like you are bending over

@LULUGIRLY05 ok thankyou girly.
Issaquan5 8 months ago
@LULUGIRLY05 Not really. It's a variation, you can do either with your back straight or by bending slightly forwards during the negative execution.

There shouldnt be any lowerback movement in this exercise. Check out "How to do seated rows" the form is perfect
