  • at 2:22 where you on a bridge because your cam was shacking a lot

  • Awesome video of the AEM-7 classic

    5*****

  • Hey that's prettyy sweet at 30 seconds

  • Nice Video! Lots of NEC Action!

  • I don't know why trains here have their speed reduced.

  • i heard about that i mean in germany its same sometimes if the rails arent special highspeed made trains have to driver slower

  • @tonjif That section of the NEC has older catenary setups, and cannot withstand more then 130mph. The trains can only exceed that limit on the tracks from New York to Boston, which have the newer catenary setups. Check the Wikipedia article on the Northeast Corridor if you want more info.

  • cool vid

  • When was the Clocker's final run?

  • The final Philadelphia to New York runs by Amtrak were on October 28 2005. Then next week they were run by NJT from Trenton to NYC.

  • Thanks

  • Love the new HHP-8s and the AEM-7 is classic!!

  • I betcha a million bucks that ridership has INCREASED since gasoline is approaching $5.00 per gallon

  • Nice to see you guys still using locos, here in Britain its mainly units!

  • I agree-those older american locos shown here look quite interesting, anyone know anything about them ?..

  • not rally, what about the 125 and 225s? but yes, it would be good to see more locos, they're cooler.

  • I say mostly units but yeah we still do have some loco hauled services knocking about, but the 125 is a argument that will never get a answer ;)

  • the 125, the classic british train, it was originally going to be bullet shaped, but the glass would have cost too much

  • It is a classic British train though it was made as a Multiple unit (DEMU). Tbh I prefer its shape now.

  • i think that was one of the ideas, but it would have cost even more. anyway, it cant be a demu because it has separate locomotives.

  • Ptoductive day for Amtrak. I lived right in Philly for some time and often took SEPTA.

  • It was called the Clocker service because it was an hourly service. They removed the service in 2005, its now replaced by the Acela Express. And additional info, they removed the Metroliner too, but thats more recent.

Train travel in the Northeast is getting harder and harder.

  • njt took over somepart of the clocker service they have trains running from trenton, princeton junction and on to NYC but if you wanna go to philly you have to transfer to the septa r7 line

  • NX, that I believe is the Clocker Service. They shut that down not too long ago.

  • whats the clocker service and whys it called that

  • wow alot of acela action, but yea what were those long trains thats unusual

  • what amtrak service was offered that had 13 car trains running? Ive never seen anything so massive

  • Thanks for sharing!

Use to work 2 blocks from where these trains were shot.

  • Definitely a productive day!
