I'm guessing it was her energy & resiliency that attracted him to her & reassured him she would be able to hold it together. Maybe she's raising awareness of what our husbands face while they are risking their lives for our country. Don't be so quick to judge. I have no idea what kind of relationship her & her husband had but from the video I'm assuming that the energy & light in her was what kept him moving forward while he was away from his family. I don't mean to be negative towards someone who just lost her husband, but as a military spouse I find this offensive. Does anyone else find it outrageous that her husband died so recently that his unit hasn't even returned yet, and she's trying to use that to guilt a celebrity into taking her to the military ball? This doesn't make her seem proud or sincere to use her husband's sacrifice for personal gain - how about you forget about the ball and worry about raising those two kids?
the problem with people now days...they have so many opinions about what they don't know. She has been nothing but amazing, those kids are lucky to have her as their mother. Their family dynamics are better than many military families I meet. My dad died a couple years ago, my mother said losing her soul mate is the hardest thing she went through, and no one will ever know what that feels like till it happens to them.

What is outrageous is that you aren't sending her an email as a fellow army wife asking her what you can do for her. Celebrities who support our troops raise awareness. This is not disrespectful to me....I love Leah and Kris. Leah is an amazing woman and a great mother. mainshlampa and sillystringftwable....you don't know her but if you did you did your opinion would change drastically.

Not to be a Dick but yeah as a wolfhound and someone who was deployed with your husband in may this is fucked up and so disrespectful to the 11soldiers 2-27 has lost this deployment

I don't mean to be negative towards someone who just lost her husband, but as a military spouse I find this offensive. Does anyone else find it outrageous that her husband died so recently that his unit hasn't even returned yet, and she's trying to use that to guilt a celebrity into taking her to the military ball? This doesn't make her seem proud or sincere to use her husband's sacrifice for personal gain - how about you forget about the ball and worry about raising those two kids?

the problem with people now days...they have so many opinions about what they don't know. She has been nothing but amazing, those kids are lucky to have her as their mother. Their family dynamics are better than many military families I meet. My dad died a couple years ago, my mother said losing her soul mate is the hardest thing she went through, and no one will ever know what that feels like till it happens to them.

@sillystringftwable As a military wife who has witnessed marriage after marriage and family after family fall apart because of the military life...this is anything but offensive. What is outrageous is that you aren't sending her an email as a fellow army wife asking her what you can do for her. Celebrities who support our troops raise awareness. Awareness that we are in desperate need of. She's an amazing mother. AMAZING. email her, get to know her, support her.
