i put windows xp on here and it was a really bad idea, the battery life is meant to last 2 hours, (which it probaly dose on linux) But i think windows just eats the crap outta the battery, windows xp also takes up alot of memory, it makes the laptop get very hot, More easy to get viruses, and linux actually comes with its own anti-virus which is another good thing. You get good apps like Skype, Games etc. Please people stick with linux if you have this laptop. P.S Im gonna switch back to linux.

Its not running windows you idiot... Only windows can run an executable file. I bought one, I'm a mac user and I needed a smaller computer for the road. It's great for the internet, I would suggest it for somebody who already has a desktop, or a laptop. Over all if you can afford it and need it, buy one, its a great computer!

I find these tigerdirect reviews HIGHLY inaccurate. He says that the card reader supports SD/XD/ Memory stick. It only really henales SD/SDHC/MMC (Multimedia card, the same as SD, just not sold anymore)

Yeah I have a black EEE pc and it is fuckin' cool! I mean it doesn't hold my entire iTunes music library and I can't install anything else but nevertheless, the mini-laptop doesn't seem to be much of a gaming computer anyway. I'll have to buy two 8 gigabyte usb drives to fit my entire music library so I can sync my iPod to the eee pc. Until then I'll have to continue using my windows XP for my music, videos, pictures, and games and my parents Mac for making beats in GB.

You can use this mobile device anywhere and be connected to the internet, only if you are in range of a local WiFi connection. If you want to use internet wherever you are, you will have to buy a mobile internet card from a cell phone provider, such as Rogers or At&t. I must warn you, it will be QUITE expensive though...

i bought this laptops a few weeks ago and i was able to put a 250gig sata laptop hard drive in the bottom but it made the laptop unstable so i put some plastic legs on all the corners. I installed windows xp on the laptop using a portable cd drive which connects to the usb drive. This laptop is great and i enjoy it
