  • Please, please, only post criticisms if you have conducted better performances. And also post your performances to back up your comments.

  • La doble H:Harnoncourt y Herreweghe,en estas interpretaciones ,resultan pluscuamperfectos.

    Koopman es otra clase.

  • not least I like the trumpets here. In many baroque ensembles with 'authentic' interpretation especially the trumpets are often a problem. I think one of the reasons is that they did here a smart thing to add sth like ventiles that are normally - as far as I know - not part of old trumpets, but came later in history. but good to be not dogmatic 'historic' :o)

  • This is simply fabulous! Such a wonderful balance between orchestra, soloist, and chorus. I want the entire performance on DVD, a nice bottle of wine and no phone calls!

  • For what it is worth, this group is the toast of New York city right now.

  • Absolutely horrible sound quality. Better not to post something like this in case of such a magnificent music ...

  • Well, the poster put in the category "Autos & Vehicles", so that explains it!

  • Very nice. Small ochestra more authentic. The even tempo - just right.

  • and what about harnoncourt?

I quote him and herreweghe... sometimes harnoncourt is too slow... but without him we would till have richter with his thousand-choirs...

  • Harnoncourt was indeed an icebreaker, but not the only one, and also others had similar ideas in that times

  • Both are greate. Matsaki Suzuki and Veldhoven to

  • not to forget smaller ensembles like Tafelmusik with an american female conducter (forgot the name, sorry) There are great recordings with the 6 late masses of Haydn (head conducter is Bruno Weil, also makig good his job there and also the choir)

  • One of my favorite Bach conductors.

  • After Koopman.

  • Totall

  • Totally agree. Koopman is the best Bachs interpreter ive ever heard.

  • Here is not Koopman, but Herreweghe ;o)

and he is indeed one of the best

  • me too.

    my favorite Bach conductor :D
