The prime assumptions that are flawed in all these "new" teaching ideas are:

1. All students want to learn.

2. All students are able to master every subject.

If these assumptions are true, the only reason we are not all brain surgeons is because our every single one of our teachers was a terrible educator.

On the other hand, maybe some people are better at some things more than others and some people aren't good at much of anything.

Often times children are just not motivated by the materials or the individual that is presents them to them. Learning has become a stress induced experience for lots of children who are kinesthetic learners. Because some of us don't understand that there are different learning styles. Providing good differential learning materials that allow a child to move and feel relaxed helps eliminate anxiety, increases confidence and fosters spontaneous learning.

i notice that you backed away from labeling lazy teachers as those who implement differentiated instruction. thanks for proving my point

My child was held an hour late from school because he had not completed an interrogatory on this "instruction". On googleing it, I found that it holds students responsible for their own learning. These teachers work 8 months per year and extract the per annum balance from unemployment. I'M REALLY IRRITATED. Differentiating instruction.... How about lazy assed incompetent fucks? How about school "Christmas" celebrations that only mention the Hannukah (blood-bath) I've had it.

youre so uneducated it is not even funny. good teachers differentiate their instruction and lazy teachers teach everything the same. it is more work to create differentiated lessons. if i took the easy way out i would leave the slower learners and quicker learners behind while i only taught the medium learners. and teachers work 10 months not 8. plus we dont get any vacation days. some people get 5 weeks. big woop we get 3 more weeks.besides its 11:17 at night and i am still working!
