  • mustard in the skyyyyy

  • I was talking to this amazing girl.... I showed her this song... and she said "... That was a pretty cool song, but I'm not into screamo..." D:

  • @MrSeemby Well, most people will associate any form of yelling or screaming in a song to screamo so i wouldn't be surprised, at tbh that's one of the song's low points anyway, the first minute and 28 seconds are fantastic

  • @OnscreenUnicorn Don't forget to label those thoughts as your opinion though, not everyone thinks that that's one of the song's low points, in my opinion the entire song stacks up perfectly and i actually prefer after the first minute and 28 seconds if asked which parts did i like best from the song.

  • This video is the collaboration of Walt Disney and Salvador Dali. Its a short film called Destino.

Cynic flows so well with it! Beautiful!!!

  • looks like shit from aeon flux xD

  • SPAAAAACE

  • Where does this footage come from?

  • @Chlotron looks like shit from Dali

  • queremos un cynic como en el focus!!!!

  • This song fits better than the original.

  • Ohh!! What Surprise!

Dalí, Disney and the enigmatic band: Cynic!

Epic and beautiful music... and Good Video! =)

  • you did an amazing job. Fits perfectly to the song and i love salvador Dalí's work too.

  • 1:38 traced in air album cover.

  • This was a beautifully edited video, and the music, if I didn't know any better, would seem to be made for the animation. This is the distinction of Cynic's music in my view. A true artform, a collection of masterworks composed by incredibly talented musicians, who truly live to create intriguing and original music. Then combine it with the works of a legendary artist, and it's magic. I think Salvador Dali himself would have been pleased to see his art paired up with Cynic's music.

  • Only 3 albums, and i cant stop listening to them.

  • Paul Masvidal, lead singer/songwriter of Cynic is an amazing talent. His music is beautiful and haunting, like from another world. Perfect with Dali's surrealism!

  • @aguahoja I agree Masvidal is a super talented musician

  • awesome Cynic Video!

  • very good band. i just saw them in Paris

  • Cynic's music is amazing. Can't wait for their US headline tour starting July 2010!

  • @cosmicbass yes, Cynic is one of my favorite bands. This is from their CD Traced in Air.

  • reminds me of pink floyds wall a little bit with the video. parts of the music too but mostly just the video

  • Destino is a short animated cartoon released in 2003 by The Walt Disney Company. Destino is unique in that its production originally began in 1945, 58 years before its eventual completion. The project was a collaboration between American animator Walt Disney and Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, and features music written by Mexican songwriter Armando Dominguez.

  • @Zomular Wikipedia FTW ;D

  • oh, and this is the completed/remade/remastered/whatevered dali/disney "Destino", although I didn't think anything besides stills were available for this. so incredible.

  • what a great thing. tool should let this band tour with them, get them out there more. they'd make tool look bad though.

  • Exactly. Cynic makes anybody look bad

  • idk about that. but they are really good.

  • @oaktubs I agree, except I'm not sure it's possible to make Tool look bad. I think they could do a pretty epic collaboration, don't you?

  • Yeah, probably... I think tool is making tool look bad though... 1 album every 5 years, that's usually like 30-50% filler. I know they can do better. Yes I do like tool. I just like bands that are hungry for it better.

  • You raise a good point, especially considering their latest album. I think part of the problem is that Maynard has taken on so many side projects (APC, Puscifer, winery...) that Tool's become sort of a side project itself.

  • dali + cynic fuckyeah!!!!

  • Simply perfect.

  • holy shit awesome video, goes perfectly with the song. But is this the official music video?

  • no, a fan made it for them.

  • yes!

  • This song is on Cynic's new album Traced in Air. The whole album is amazing...this animation is great with this song.

  • Salvador Dali was commissioned to do an animation for Disney, but because it went well over budget and took far longer than Disney expected, it was never completed at the time. Disney completed the work only recently in honor of a Dali retrospective. It's a long lost masterpiece and Cynic have been called nothing less than genius by music critics! Perfect combo.

  • Love Cynic!!!!

  • Yeah! The mood and lyrics by Masvidal fit perfectly...I dig it!

  • amazing animation!who is the author?

  • fascinating

  • Looks to me like a really cool anime with Space For This dubbed over. Works very well though! I would love to know what the the animation is?

  • I believe the animation (or the concept for it) was done by Salvador Dali. Paul Masvidal's music is perfect for this surrealistic piece. Brilliant!

  • Brb, changing pants :O

  • what on earth is this? Is this an actual music video from Cynic?
