To think...the catalyst for all of this was a pair of humans being abducted to raise an alien child...and the child being forced to kill his foster mother, and sent to destroy the world of his foster parents because his foster father tried to return home...If Giygas's people hadn't decided PSI was so important, the world would have been a much more peaceful place, and Porky would never have done what he did in Mother 3

One of them (George) escaped by stealing the knowledge of PSI. Giygas's race decided that was punishable by death, and choose Giygas to conqure Earth. Unable to harm the world of those who had raised him Giygas eventually killed Maria to try and rid himself of attachment...which failed. After being beaten in Mother he becomes unstable and turns into...

My favorite team is the mother 3 team! On reason is I have A twin brother so I can really relate to Lucas. Another reason is that perfectly define friendship. No matter how one look's or act's like they can still be friends till the end. They're all completely different from one another yet they still become the best of friends. :)

It's just so incredible how much emotion these games can convey, nothing we have today can compare to them. Nobody cried at the end of Call of Duty or Starcraft, but even today, this game evokes so many feelings for the characters that give them such incredible personality. You actually find yourself cheering for them, or in some cases, praying for them, along with the rest of the game's cast.

The MOTHER series will always remain one of the best, if not THE best, game series ever devised.

@EvilmikeYT Actually, the Mother series got me into gaming. After that, I got into RPG's, then Pokemon, and then into Star Fox, then into CoD. I played it for a few years before moving onto more obscure games, like battlefield, and the elder scrolls. I've never thought about Mother since.

But, you know how it works.

With games like these, you always find your way back. You always do.

this series never took off because of the graphics barrier in america because earthbound's graphics kept 90's gamers away from the game back in the day. hmmm, now how could itoi fix that today? well...a revamped zelda is coming out for the 3ds, looks better than the original, lots of people played it. i think that if he re did the games, upping the graphics and maybe adding some content to the original script of the games, i think that 10% would go to a good 45%.

I had a dream last night, and I haven't had one in weeks.

I remember myself playing a scene where Ness was at a train station with the Eight Melodies theme playing in the background. As I watched the scene, my lip started to tremble, and, eventually, a single tear rolled down the left side of my face. I immediately woke up, realizing the scene was a dream. But, when I touched my left check, it felt damp.

I have never cried at a videogame before this. I am a fan of the Mother series as a result.
