  • dick check at 3:05 ;)

  • How does he change the key of the lick? Is it physically tightening all of the strings in perfect halfsteps? or is it an electronic effect?

  • @blackalbino360

    physically

  • THIS GUITAR IS IT

  • Damn, I want one now!!

  • does the steinberger guitar come with that hair he's got?

  • THE HAIR!

  • I watch this video entirely for that very first low riff

  • Who is the first guitarrist, just in the beginning?

  • GREAT hair!

  • I hate how he tunes low and he claims it to be a "thrash sound" That pisses me off.

  • @SoundOfAShark agreed, most of the good heavy thrash is in standard tuning.

  • @rexasul

Yeah standard is the heaviest tuning ever!

If you wanna down tune get a 7 string. Doesn't fuck up the theory either!

  • Go play your overpriced Les Paul, and while you're there, go see your chiropractor about your spine and neck. Guitar purists...

  • Awesome bass and electric guitars!

  • Amazing guitars

  • Man that host is creepy, he's like repeating everything the metal guy is saying in a soft stalkerish voice and that weird head thing he did when Arlen Roth did that dive bomb.

  • I wish they would make the L shape bodies with transtrems again. All you can get nowadays are those wooden spirits with an R trem. And a replacement transtrem is around 1,000!

  • Steinies are GREAT !

Don't play on anything else since I got my first in the 80's

  • function over form budy

  • my art teach told me form follows function. now i know why lol

  • your teacher was wrong.

  • well hees some bald fat guy so hah

  • How does that change him being wrong? Fat and bald instantly makes you correct?

  • i honestly dont care. i just posted cuz it kinda had something to do with some topic that was there. sorry

  • Random much?

  • @EJG5150 apparently should be a good thing..or isnt?

  • @awfulguitarplucker 'eh I don't really care but to each is own... right?

  • @EJG5150 oh yeah! i agree nonethelessly!

  • For over function all of the way!

Go waste your money on a Les Paul.

  • I dont really get on with Les Pauls, they really are just awkward to play unless you've grown up playing them.

  • I think they're sick looking. Especially the new ZT-3's.

  • Great Video, thanks for sharing!

  • ned is a genius.

  • Without a shadow of doubt!

  • ... hi mate !! what bugS me at a high level... is : no one likes the ''shape '' of theese guitars, but FORGOT that the IDEA of the trem, neck, head, is BRILANT why not take the IDEA and put it on a known shape guitar !!!

  • He, he, love that new york accent in Spitz´s speech...looks just like his brother. Ned Steinberger is a genius, love his instruments.

  • I WANT THAT!

  • hey does anyone know if you can change tunings easily with the trans trem or any other steinberger? i change tunings a lot in my music.

  • can you lock it down a key like he does with an R-Trem???

  • getsome

  • Ahh, I can't wait to get a Spirit GT, even though it doesn't have a transtrem, an R-trem is still pretty good.

  • id fking kill for a 80's steinberger bass

  • They always show up on eBay. I just bought a MINT 1985 XL2A on eBay. It wasn't cheap but it is absolutely in mINT condition...not a scratch anywhere on the bass. It looks like it just came out of the Steinberger shop in Newburgh! I absolutely love this bass. I had two other XL2As and sold them regretfully. I am keeping this one FOREVER!

  • whats that about locking the trem down?

  • locking the trem down works the same/or similar to a capo. Locking it at the 1st position is in effect putting a capo on the 1st fret, locking it the 3rd position is the same as a capo on the 3rd fret, and so on.

  • he made it go lower.

is this standard on all steinbergers?

  • hello next guitar:P

  • that is some tall ass hair

  • he's counterbalancing the steinberger :P

  • ahahahahahahahhhhahahahhahahahahah

  • This is absolutely brilliant. Good demos and wonderful players!

  • Hey, that's Steve Bargeonetti at the end. What a killer player. I think he's in the pit orchestra for The Color Purple on Broadway.

  • Cool demos of one of the best trems ever made!
